My T206 side project of Wild Bill Donovan’s throwing image, got a new addition today. My first T213 Coupon arrived today and it is also my first of this image when he’s not a Tiger. Up to 5 versions of this image now. Not sure when I’ll get another one, but I’ve said that many times in recent months

Been a little bit since my last T206 adds. Today brings a Facebook group auction win of 4 low grade cards. The Paddy is a duplicate but the prize of the lot isn’t a T206. It’s an E90-1 Caramel card of Tigers HOF manager Hughie Jennings. Happy to check off a non-T206 prewar HOFer. #cardsky

Big day for the Kaline collection. Wasn’t expecting to land this card yet but it came up for the right price and I had to get it. Just need the 64 Tigers Team card and the 64 AL Batting card to complete the Venezuela Topps Kaline run. #cardsky

11 down, 3 Venny’s to go. Today’s mail brings me two more Al Kaline Venezuela Topps cards, one of which has 3 HOFers. The only Kaline Venny’s left are 3 cards from 1964. 64 Tigers Team card, 64 AL Batting and the toughest and most expensive AL Bombers with that pesky Mantle guy😭 #cardsky

Awesome T206 mailday today. Added 3 more Southern Leaguers to the set build and an Old Mill Brain as well. Then we’ve got a nice Hooker from the South that @lolbrarian.bsky.social asked me to find for him. 😁

Today’s T206 mailday brings me HOF’er Eddie Collins. He’s beat up like his non related HOF Collins brethren Jimmy in my set. I’m up to 156 cards out of 520 but Eddie brings me up to 41 Hall of Famers out of 74 obtainable ones, (I’m not counting the two requiring the lottery😂)

Yesterday crossed off a big name T206 for my set build. My newest T206 HOFer is one I didn’t think I’d cross off this year. It’s one that also helps with the Tigers team set. This stunning Red Cobb joins his stellar bat on brethren. Anyone got a Green Cobb or bat off Cobb that’s just his nose up?😂

My Venezuelan Topps Kaline collection has grown in recent weeks. Today’s mailday brings me to 8/14 Venny’s he’s tied to and 3 of the remaining are team cards. So 5 of them won’t be bad $ wise but the 6th is the 64 Bombers and there’s 2 Yankee power guys on it that make it $$$😂 #cardsky

I’ve got some low grade double vision after today’s mail arrived. My newest T206 addition is the dark cap variation of HOF’er Christy Mathewson. This one’s awesome as it’s a polar bear back. Those backs are one of my favorites! He pairs nicely with his white cap brethren. #cardSky

Been a year since I’ve purchased a T206 HOFer for my build, I was overdue😁. Couldn’t pass up a cheap price on a slabbed HOFer. This is card #120 for the set. It will not be my final HOFer of the year. The coming weeks will have a lot of PC additions and a 1936 HOF inductee😏🐻‍❄️

Not too often is a raw card of a HOF RC an upgrade over a PSA 3 RC, but my pickup at a show today was one of those instances. Some guy scribbled on it though, but it goes along with some of the other Kaline’s I’ve got that were scribbled on as well😁 #cardSky

Thanksgiving arrived a little late this year. I’ve loved this image since I started building the Tigers T206 team set and decided to do a side project and get other versions of this image. Had to get the Turkeys of Wild Bill and Rube together, along with the other throwing images so far. 😁 #cardsky

Had a few envelopes in the mail the last week and a half, and everything’s here now. Another 8 to the T206 set build. And because I’ll buy before checking my list and will also grab cheap deals even if it’s a duplicate, I’m at 119 instead of 120. Mr. Downs is a duplicate 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 #cardsky

Last week, an unexpected item that’s been on the want list for a while, appeared. This one is hard to find in the type of condition that fits my budget. So happy to add this awesome M116 Sporting Life to the collection of my favorite pre-war oddball Rube Waddell. #cardsky

A cool T206 mailday.I’m doing this low grade & wouldn’t normally pick up a single duplicate, especially if it’s rougher(I looked at my list wrong and thought I didn’t have him 😂). But when the card on the right popped up for cheap, I had to grab a new back! #cardsky

First pic is recent pickups/maildays. Another signed Kaline, a new T206, a Venny Kaline, and a Topps Now Riley Greene from the playoff game I was at on my birthday. Including a copy /10. The rest of the pics are the progress on the Venny and Signed Kaline run. #cardsky

It’s been awhile since I’ve picked up a T206 for the build and I’m really happy with this one. It’s got character like most of the others I’ve got but when a super cheap Southern Leaguer pops up on eBay, you have to hit BIN. Happy to add my second Southern Leaguer to the build. #cardsky

Today’s mailday brings me my third Venezuelan Topps Al Kaline card with this 1967 Topps. I didn’t plan on my T206 pickups taking a break but I couldn’t pass up some of these recent giveaways of these rarer cards😂. Happy to pick away at the Venny Kaline run. #cardsky

It’s great collecting under appreciated and under valued HOF’ers. Could not pass up this lower grade signed 1957 Topps Al Kaline. Slowly picking away at a signed career run of Mr. Tiger. #cardsky

Today’s mailday from @prewarcards.bsky.social brings me my first E102 in Wild Bill Donovan. I set a goal of trying to pick up a few pre-war cards this year that weren’t T206. This card was perfect as it’s a Tiger but also uses my favorite T206 image. Happy to have it. #cardSky

It’s been awhile since I’ve done an updated Kaline PC pic. Recently I’ve added a few autographs and just yesterday, my second Venezuela Topps card arrived in the mail. I’m still chipping away at insert cards, leader cards, etc on my Al Kaline PC. #vintage #cardsky #repdetroit

My T206 set build took a big step forward today thanks to the kindness of @brewing.bsky.social He’s finished his set and was nice enough to send me the big dogs for my binder😁Also happy to add another of your well done Tigers customs to my collection with the alternate Bill Freehan RC #cardsky

Two more T206’s were finally released from the couple week stranglehold of the post office😂. One of the coolest types of portraits in the set are the sweaters and the Doyle is a great one. Up to 102 now. #cardsky

Today is a milestone mailday on my T206 build. Not only have I gotten my first two Sovereign backs but these three cards put me at 100 cards on the setbuild. When I decided to attempt this build, I couldn’t imagine having this many cards already. #vintage #setbuilder #cardSky

Should have a few more T206 maildays over the next couple days but today brings me two more low grade commons. #96 & #97 on the build. Can’t believe I’m closing in on 100 T206’s. Nothing crazy arriving for card #100 but I will have a new back crossed off the list. #cardSky

My card show ventures usually result in Riley Greene cards for my daughter. But today I actually found stuff for myself. Picked up five more T206’s for the set build, bringing me up to 95 cards. A long way still to 520. I also purchased a signed 71 Topps card of Mr Tiger Al Kaline. #cardsky

Today’s mailday brings me seven more T206’s from @wiredtiger.bsky.social. He’s been a big help in finding some of the most budget friendly cards for my T206 build. This brings me to 90 cards on the set and brings me another Polar Bear as well. #cardSky

The second day of the new year, brings me my first mailday of the year. I received the No Trees Chief Bender today. This card completes the Chief Bender run of cards in the T206 set. Card #83 on the set build. Long way to go to 520….. #vintage #cardSky

They’re not all pretty but my top 10 pickups for the year features seven T206 HOFers, a third year Hammer, a Venny Kaline and card of my favorite oddball Rube Waddell. Here’s to the new year and what it will bring to me hobby wise in 2025. #cardSky #vintage

Barring anything crazy, this should be my final T206 mailday of the year. This shift in my collecting focus has been a lot of fun. Here’s my current stat line on my journey toward The Monster. 78 raw cards, 4 slabs, 18 HOFers 82/520 #vintage #cardSky #setbuilder

As the year winds down, so does the T206 maildays. Today’s mailday brings two more HOFers for the setbuild. Miller Huggins and Chief Bender. The Bender is extra cool because the name is visible up top due to the way it was cut. #cardSky

After a small shipping mixup, my long overdue T206 Mailday of a couple Tigers HOFers has finally arrived. These are also my first two EPDG backs. With Crawford and Jennings, the Non-Cobb portion of the Tigers T206 set is complete. 3 Cobb’s remain. #vintage #cardSky #setbuilder

The Red Heart Christmas tree I see on here every year is so cool. I thought I’d attempt a T206 Christmas tree with my meager T206 collection. Various shades of red, blue, and green, with a yellow star at the top and a brown base of the tree😁 Happy Holidays! #vintage #cardSky

I’m convinced the creators of the 1970 animated classic “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town!” were baseball fans. Many of the character designs are reminiscent of popular baseball personalities. Let's take a look: #baseballsky #cardsky @sabrpictorial.bsky.social @sabrbbcards.bsky.social 🧵 (1/6)

My T206 mailday was a little different due to a mixup of cards. So the O’Leary portrait will be the only one that counts today😂. Brings me another step closer to finishing the Tigers T206 team set. #vintage #cardsky

Today’s T206 Mailday crossed a HOF pitcher off the list. It’s a rough card and looks like it may have been mangled in some farm equipment, but I’m happy to have this Mordecai “Three Finger” Brown portrait. #vintage #cardsky #setbuilder
