My T206 side project of Wild Bill Donovan’s throwing image, got a new addition today. My first T213 Coupon arrived today and it is also my first of this image when he’s not a Tiger. Up to 5 versions of this image now. Not sure when I’ll get another one, but I’ve said that many times in recent months

Been a little bit since my last T206 adds. Today brings a Facebook group auction win of 4 low grade cards. The Paddy is a duplicate but the prize of the lot isn’t a T206. It’s an E90-1 Caramel card of Tigers HOF manager Hughie Jennings. Happy to check off a non-T206 prewar HOFer. #cardsky

Big day for the Kaline collection. Wasn’t expecting to land this card yet but it came up for the right price and I had to get it. Just need the 64 Tigers Team card and the 64 AL Batting card to complete the Venezuela Topps Kaline run. #cardsky

11 down, 3 Venny’s to go. Today’s mail brings me two more Al Kaline Venezuela Topps cards, one of which has 3 HOFers. The only Kaline Venny’s left are 3 cards from 1964. 64 Tigers Team card, 64 AL Batting and the toughest and most expensive AL Bombers with that pesky Mantle guy😭 #cardsky

They missed “you have a new message” each time you open up the app. At least for me that’s the case and it’s always a bot telling me what program I could be using for my current job because it just messages me because of my job title. Lol. I’m sure it actually is a useful site but I don’t use it😂

Hahaha my wife and I joke often about how “old” we sound when we talk about a fun child free date day as going out to eat somewhere and hitting up multiple antique stores. It’s really a great time.

My wife and I went to the Columbus book festival last summer and Matt was there signing. We had never heard of his books but his line was INSANE compared to other authors there. I got the book for Christmas and finally read it last week and I’m just wrapping up book two. A fun series for sure!

Awesome T206 mailday today. Added 3 more Southern Leaguers to the set build and an Old Mill Brain as well. Then we’ve got a nice Hooker from the South that @lolbrarian.bsky.social asked me to find for him. 😁

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

1960 is one of my most favorite sets and it’s really underrated. The All Star Subset that year is one of the best that they did. The 8 pocket pages are great for a horizontal set. No neck cranking😁

110

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 01/03/2026

He’s been claimed, along with a few other Southern Leaguers I needed. I’ll message you later this week when it arrives.

110

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 01/03/2026

Does this Hooker look good to you? 😂 sounds hilarious typing it out. A seller in a Facebook group has it for $65 plus shipping. If you’re interested, I’ll grab it and we can work out the details when it gets here.

110

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 27/02/2026

I’ll keep a look out for another. Ironically Hooker is one of the 6 southern leaguers I’ve got and is the only Old Mill Southern Leaguer. This copy is actually pretty fragile, which is the only reason I was able to snag an old mill one not brutally trimmed. 😂

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 26/02/2026

Long way to go on that one but I’m gonna give it my best effort!

010

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 26/02/2026

Hahahaha. Hey corners aren’t always important with the way we’re collecting but if you can get them, that’s a plus.

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 26/02/2026

Today’s T206 mailday brings me HOF’er Eddie Collins. He’s beat up like his non related HOF Collins brethren Jimmy in my set. I’m up to 156 cards out of 520 but Eddie brings me up to 41 Hall of Famers out of 74 obtainable ones, (I’m not counting the two requiring the lottery😂)

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

Wait, they did two versions of that Riley? Off to look in my Daughter and I’s Riley collection now..lol

110

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

But do you have the yellow letter version? I haven’t bit the bullet on that one for my Kaline PC yet.

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 22/02/2026

Lou thought these cards were the coolest thing when my buddy and I met him a few years ago at a signing. When my friend explained the card to him, he grabbed it and had the biggest smile on his face, showing it to everyone behind the table. I still need to get Tram to sign my card to complete it.

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 20/02/2026

Not yet but my oldest daughter and I collect Riley Greene and now I’m gonna have to snag this card. That’s a great image!

140

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

You can even count another Tiger here with Heinie Manush. 😂

010

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

You made me get out my set binder. Lol. Here’s your non-Tiger coaches and managers in 54 Topps.

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 03/02/2026

Yesterday crossed off a big name T206 for my set build. My newest T206 HOFer is one I didn’t think I’d cross off this year. It’s one that also helps with the Tigers team set. This stunning Red Cobb joins his stellar bat on brethren. Anyone got a Green Cobb or bat off Cobb that’s just his nose up?😂

010

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 04/01/2026

I can’t say I’ve heard that before. At the same time, I’m not surprised that Bill Veeck would have been that owner who would try to pull this off either at that time. Pretty cool factoid here.

020

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 02/01/2026

It is a pretty decent core of guys. 😁

0131

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 29/12/2025

They really are outstanding! My oldest daughter will pull up a lot of newer SNL sketches on YouTube and some of them have been her sketches. Celine Dion singing about MMA and the UFC had me rolling! 🤣

210

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 23/12/2025

Thanks! Compared to a lot of other HOFers, his Venezuelan cards aren’t too terribly expensive. His 60 Topps and 64 AL Bombers card are probably his two most expensive. I haven’t spent more than $50 on a card of his outside of 1960 so far. The Venezuelan Topps Facebook group has them often for sale.

010

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 22/12/2025

My wife and I watch this every year and we always talk about the ridiculousness of the movie. For one, the reason you stated. But two, my brother was in the Peace Corps and met his wife while doing that. And there is no way barring a family emergency, that he could have came home after a month. Lol

010

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 22/12/2025

The Green Cobb in that grade is just bonkers, knowing that you’re doing two of each to keep your Tigers and T206 sets separate. Awesome pickups!

010

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 22/12/2025

My Venezuelan Topps Kaline collection has grown in recent weeks. Today’s mailday brings me to 8/14 Venny’s he’s tied to and 3 of the remaining are team cards. So 5 of them won’t be bad $ wise but the 6th is the 64 Bombers and there’s 2 Yankee power guys on it that make it $$$😂 #cardsky

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 17/12/2025

I’ve got some low grade double vision after today’s mail arrived. My newest T206 addition is the dark cap variation of HOF’er Christy Mathewson. This one’s awesome as it’s a polar bear back. Those backs are one of my favorites! He pairs nicely with his white cap brethren. #cardSky

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 14/12/2025

Been a year since I’ve purchased a T206 HOFer for my build, I was overdue😁. Couldn’t pass up a cheap price on a slabbed HOFer. This is card #120 for the set. It will not be my final HOFer of the year. The coming weeks will have a lot of PC additions and a 1936 HOF inductee😏🐻‍❄️

020

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 14/12/2025

I’ve heard of its existence but have never brought myself to watch it and I’m happy with that. It’s like there is an actual “Christmas Story 2” that came out like 12 years ago. Watched it once, became enraged, and have chosen to forget it. Now “A Christmas Story Christmas”, that’s a nice movie.

010

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 12/12/2025

Haha there’s a Broadleaf and Drum back. Won’t be completed by me 😂😂😂😂

000

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 12/12/2025

I’m a fan of the throwing image of Wild Bill Donovan. So a back run of that card would be fun!

110

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 07/12/2025

Thank you! I tried winning one on heritage last weekend that kept going high and this one at a show today floored me. I was fully prepared to downgrade my card to try and get a signed copy, as I’ve got a PSA 3, but this is great and not much of a “downgrade” and for a perfect price too.

010

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 07/12/2025

Not too often is a raw card of a HOF RC an upgrade over a PSA 3 RC, but my pickup at a show today was one of those instances. Some guy scribbled on it though, but it goes along with some of the other Kaline’s I’ve got that were scribbled on as well😁 #cardSky

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 05/12/2025

His T206’s are surprisingly “affordable” for a player of his stature. I’m a low grade collector. So my Crawford’s weren’t expensive 😂

000

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 03/12/2025

Thanksgiving arrived a little late this year. I’ve loved this image since I started building the Tigers T206 team set and decided to do a side project and get other versions of this image. Had to get the Turkeys of Wild Bill and Rube together, along with the other throwing images so far. 😁 #cardsky

170

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 02/12/2025

Had a few envelopes in the mail the last week and a half, and everything’s here now. Another 8 to the T206 set build. And because I’ll buy before checking my list and will also grab cheap deals even if it’s a duplicate, I’m at 119 instead of 120. Mr. Downs is a duplicate 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 #cardsky

050

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 27/11/2025

Make sure you get a double helping of Turkeys, thanks to this Turkey.

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 26/11/2025

Last week, an unexpected item that’s been on the want list for a while, appeared. This one is hard to find in the type of condition that fits my budget. So happy to add this awesome M116 Sporting Life to the collection of my favorite pre-war oddball Rube Waddell. #cardsky

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 18/11/2025

A cool T206 mailday.I’m doing this low grade & wouldn’t normally pick up a single duplicate, especially if it’s rougher(I looked at my list wrong and thought I didn’t have him 😂). But when the card on the right popped up for cheap, I had to grab a new back! #cardsky

030

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

This one for sure. I’ve got others I have no business owning but this is the top one.

120

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 16/11/2025

I really need to get the BK set and put the work in to complete that like I’ve done with the 78 Topps group.

010

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 31/10/2025

I like portraits but the sunset images are action shots and those are incredible! So I’ll go action shots.

010

Trevor @tec87.bsky.social · 27/10/2025

Congrats!!! That’s one of my most favorite sets of the 60’s. It’s also not as frustrating as other years as well. I pretty much built the whole set twice😂.
