October 9th (From an Ian Miller drawing I found in the art book I just got)

The hum of pointless rusting industry was in the their ears. Snail shell turbines clanked and whired pumping purple toxins through exhaust pipes into the choking air. Mechanical goiters thrust tumourously through plated metal. There were two men. One stiffened into a unnatural loping gait with pain, his whole body a grimace. The other in raggedy long coat and broad brim hat. The first, his shoulders twisted back, strode forward, a crudely man-shaped token in deep red on his thrusting chest.The raggedy man followed lost, forlorn, and hopeless, needy eyes searching for the red fez of the pained man ahead.

October 5th (Why, yes, I had been reading Northanger Abbey)

"No it doesn't answer. Wouldn't you agree dear Catherine?"
Catherine's anxieties as to what response was expected of her overwhelmed whatever thoughts she might have had on the matter.
"One must be so precise. The fashion is for precision and intention."
Catherine was quite ready to agree to this, or indeed, anything put before her. She hoped this feeling was conveyed in the widening of her eyes.
"Ah here we are!" she said picking up a long knife from amongst it's many sharp fellows. "Isn't this just the article?"
Catherine's attempt at a conspiratory nod was thwarted by the restraints.

It's that time of year again. 🎃

A panel from the Decap Attack strip that appeared in Sonic the Comic. The "camera" is looking up at an open attic door. The attic appears to be filled with (undetailed) pumpkins, and five pumpkins with carved faces are falling out of the door.
Below them, on a ladder, is the professor. He's dressed as a stereotypical mad scientist in a lab coat and glasses. His long kinked green hair and (equally long and green) moustache are pointing straight out in surprise. His arms are raised in the air as e shouts "ACHHH! DER PUMPELKINS!"
