Gotoh Masafumi of Asian Kung-Fu Generation put ¥75.6 million in crowdfunding and donations into turning a 130-year-old tea storehouse in Shizuoka into a recording studio. It's run by an NPO that rents to struggling artists at half the normal rates so bands can afford to fail.

Screenshot of a Japanese-language colocal article about MUSIC inn Fujieda, the residential recording studio Gotoh Masafumi of Asian Kung-Fu Generation built inside a roughly 130-year-old earthen tea storehouse in Fujieda, Shizuoka. The headline says he wanted to give young musicians time to fail.

I'm back on an anxiety + executive disfunction and isn't it amazing how my brain does not have the energy to do a single mf task, but it has infinite stamina to keep going through all the tasks needing to be addressed? I can't even manage to LIST the tasks up. But I'll be crying over them all day.

17 years ago, I first discovered Flipnote Studio on the Nintendo DSi and it transformed my life. It's also half of my entire existence now since I tried it. If you just discovered me or know me for more than a decade, thank you all very much for still being here! I am there thanks to you all❤️

A photo of my Nintendo DSi with many illustrated foxes all arround it doing many things such as playing or resting.

One fox is different, there is also one baguette.

I discovered Flipnote Studio for the very first time back in the September 9th 2009.

There has definitely been a trend I've seen of people weaponizing their own discomfort as to advocate for the censorship of work or otherwise feel entitled to pestering artists and writers if they feel a topic wasn't handled tastefully or otherwise drawn/written about at all

As kindly as possible OP, I'm not responsible for your triggers. I don't know you. Expecting artists to censor themselves for your personal comfort is parasocial. I express my mental health through my art, sometimes it's positive quotes, vent art, or dark humor.

A screenshot of a direct message that reads; "hey, regarding your last comic- there have been people who have been unfortunate enough to watch that happen and that's really not something you should make a cutesy little joke comic about. This is actually going to impact my day in terms of PTSD"

I don't think I'll ever understand this correlation some younger people seem to have with feeling uncomfortable=feeling personally attacked. You can aknowledge that somebody's own choices don't fit into your personal lifestyle choices without spurring judgments onto others. It's their life, who gaf?

Feira Iko! or KyoSato at a brazilian street market I made this for @blyme.com.br's 2026 Blymecon illustration contest! I enjoyed it very much, but had very little time so it was really a race against time💦 Once I have some downtime I want to add a bit more to it and maybe put it up on a print :)

Karaoke Iko! characters Satomi and Kyoji at a brazilian street market, eating pastal and drinking sugar cane juice. A stray dog looks at Satomi's food with expectant eyes.

Fanart for Deltarune. Flowery openly fantasizes about sparkly dating sim cutscenes of him kissing Asgore’s giant paw and Asgore being all dokidoki about it. On the flip side Asgore thinks about how many people would see him with Flowery and think he’s having a midlife crisis with some young twink. A tiny doodle of Alphys gives it the fujoshi approval.

Sometimes writing is like having an enormous lake in your head, and you want to get it out of your head and into a proper place for a lake so other people can cone and go swimming and ride jetskis and stuff, except all you have to move the lake is a teaspoon. So you're just sitting there frantically flinging water out of the lake with your teaspoon and telling people "Guys, this lake is going ro be so cool when its done" but it will never be done. There is so much lake

People tell me they like suits but don't have occasions to wear one. You can wear a suit to court, funerals, and religious services. Doesn't have to be your trial, friend's burial, or religion you believe in. Go to random trials, attend a stranger's burial, join multiple religions. Try it sometime.

tumblr is having a great one about this, little masterpiece of a post I'd say

first post reads: Pro-censorship wattpad refugees drama is so funny to me because when I started using ao3 as a kid I was a devout mormon and I thought that reading anything even remotely pornagraphic was a sin and would ruin my life. So when I was 13 and found ao3 I went "oh awesome I found a fanfic website with a filtering system so I won't ever randomly stumble into porn. This is great! I was really worried about seeing something I didn't want to see on the other platforms." I didn't read any smut online until like three years later. If a mormon 13 year old can figure out 'don't like don't read' wattpad users can too cmon you guys i believe in you.
reblog reads: "you're less internet savy than a 13 year old mormon" is a diabolical thing to say to someone, I support it

Out of curiosity, went to check out the new wattpad guidelines, and not only are they banning pwp, they're cracking down on pretty much anything that doesn't have a moral lesson and a happy ending (and can't be too violent either) policies.wattpad.com/content/

2. Before You Post

Wattpad is a public platform. What you share here can be read, shared, and remembered by others.

Before publishing, we encourage you to:

Think about your audience - is your content appropriate for the rating you've selected?

Protect your privacy and others - avoid sharing personal or identifiable information.

Be mindful of impact - content that may be harmful, exploitative, or misleading can be removed.

Real Person Fiction - stories featuring real people are welcome on Wattpad but must be published responsibly. Stories will be removed if they involve non-consensual sexual content, private information (PII), targeted harassment, or non-consensual AI/deepfakes.

Create with intent - stories should contribute to the narrative, not exist solely to shock, harm, or abuse.

Violence

Everyone/Allowed

Mild or non-graphic violence

Conflict that supports a storyline

Mature

Graphic or intense violence within a narrative

Banned/Not Allowed

Content created primarily to shock or glorify harm

Gratuitous or prolonged violence that doesn't support the broader narrative

Self-Expression & Sensitive Topics

We recognize that storytelling often explores difficult themes, including trauma, abuse, addiction, and mental health.

Everyone/Allowed

Stories that handle sensitive topics responsibly

Narratives that show consequences, recovery, or growth

Mature

Survival stories that offer a sense of hope or support

there is no such thing as "age verification." All "age verification" is actually "identity verification." You can coat it in glitter and "privacy-preserving" wrapping paper. But in the end, mandating age verification means mandating surveillance be built into software and hardware. Period.
