And this is why! Thanks Google! (it) was written for a service on Easter Day at Hereford Cathedral, when 'only Trebles and a single Bass voice' were available. The central portion of the work, a dialogue between a treble soloist and treble chorus is flanked by passages for tenors and basses.

I applied for a PPTA teacher sabbatical the day I took my current profile pic. I wanted to remember how confident and accomplished I felt that day. I thought my proposal was excellent and well-written and felt really good about my chances. Just got notified today that I didn’t get one. So gutted.

This photo does NOT do justice to how steep this section was! But today I went on my first big walk since my #anklefusion. 10.8km and 4h 48min. Now in my bed after a lovely bath. Knackered!

A section of bush track. Trees stretching overhead and a path wending through them. The roots of the trees help to make step-shaped places to put your feet. Which you need, as this was VERY STEEP!

Sometime in the coming week I will find out if I get the sabbatical I’ve applied for. If not, I have wait another year to apply. It’s nerve wracking. I can’t allow myself to get excited but I so want to start planning for my bucket-list trip of a lifetime. Argh!!

Same situation at my school too. Had 50% of my Ako (form) class off most of last week and each person has had 3-5 days away with it. Similar in my 5 maths classes. Staff have also had it sweep through and we have had so much relief as only have 3-4 regular relievers but 12-20 teachers sick per day.

Excellent weekend of #kobudo (weapons) training with Kyoshi Takuma Higashi, 8th Dan instructor. Didn’t go so well for my Sensei’s #nunchaku (that he was given by his Sensei many years ago). Was quite dramatic when I smashed the Bo with them and a piece flew across the room! Oops.
