Most people should not open a presentation with a joke. A short story from your own work or a quick comment about the room works better. And one self-deprecating line is plenty. Good read from Jay Sullivan at Inc.

How to Use Humor in Business Presentations Without Losing Credibility
Effective humor in presentations should be used sparingly and authentically to engage audiences while strengthening credibility.

A QR code on a poster can turn a walk-by into a booked appointment. Inside a mobile ad it does nothing, since nobody scans their own phone. Print a readable URL under every code you use. That is your cheapest defense against a sticker swap. We wrote up the rest on the blog.

QR Code: Not a Magic Marketing Bullet, But Powerful When Used Right
The QR code (Quick Response Code) has become one of the most popular friction removers in modern marketing. They turn a poster into a landing page, a menu into an order flow, and a direct-mail piece into an appointment.

Most referral programs launch like a promotion and quietly die a month later. Nobody owned it, so nobody kept asking. Building one that runs like an actual channel takes less work than you would think.
