#FursuitFriday again? Yeah, why not! (WipEout posting will resume soon! I've got a bunch more new things I haven't taken photos of yet!) 📸: @seventhvoid.bsky.social

If it's of any help, I've got a bit more info and individual photos of the kit this was found on in my site. There's a reasonable photo of the page about Tricks n Treasures that isn't squished into a compilation photo like on here though I've not got any videos hosted there 😅 2097.uk/home/wipeout...

Heyo, thanks! Definitely caught me off guard and I'm glad I went looking into it! I think the only other reasonable source of info I found was in a Russian Playstation magazine I found online whilst searching for info. Absolutely more than welcome to use the footage! :)

Don't know why I didn't think about tagging before, but this seems right up @gamesthatwerent.com alley! Don't suppose you've got any extra info tucked away about this one that you've heard of over time?

I was focusing on Rock-it as a company for their abysmal handling of this release, as they'll have their dirty paws on other releases from other developers too, but I am aware that Argonaut have been revealed to be (unfortunately) closely tied up in some particularly nasty and damaging things. :S

Tazon Husky @tazonhusky.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Obligatory alternative for me 😛

Been seeing this 9 games thing pop up a bit at the moment, and I honestly had to take a moment to think about what to include. There's so many more I could add, but I think I've spent the most of my gaming life playing these titles... I guess I just like racing games 😅

250

Tazon Husky @tazonhusky.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

It really is. I've still not played it as a result :') Never ordered an LRG release, hell I don't really buy modern games, this was a super rare exception, but I've heard enough horror stories of LRG to never trust them, but even by their standards, Rock It are doing a good job at playing catchup 🙃

021

Tazon Husky @tazonhusky.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

This works... Right? 😅 Joking aside, yeah, thinking of just 9 that "shaped me" really is a challenge, though it has definitely highlighted I'm a fan of racing games above all else!

My only comforting thought is knowing that they're having to swallow a notably higher shipping cost to get it to me than I originally had to pay.

020

Tazon Husky @tazonhusky.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

They're supposedly in the final throws of actually getting things out the door and people have at least (finally) received copies of the standard physical release. Getting a refund at this point seems pointless, as I still want what I paid for and the money has obviously long since been spent on it!

010

Tazon Husky @tazonhusky.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

When I pre-ordered back in 2024, I wasn't aware of this. I haven't wish listed/pre-ordered the upcoming Croc 2 remaster.

Tazon Husky @tazonhusky.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Friendly reminder to never give this company your money. Physical media may be important, but it's only important if you actually get it. I pre-ordered the Collectors Edition on 31st October 2024. Rock-It still haven't shipped any CE's just shy of 2 years later.

WipEout Omega Collection - Korean / Region 3 version, still sealed. I don't know if there are any differences in the gameplay besides the language. I've got more variants of Omega collection than any other WipEout game in the series now!

US advert for WipEout XL. I'd love to know the marketing decision behind this... "Hey, people loved this antigravity racer, how should we market this new bigger and better game?" "MORE PISS."

The Designs Republic & Verdant Brewery TDR:ink collectors 10-pack of cans. Featuring a couple of WipEout themed cans, there was no-way I could pass this up! This one caught me totally off guard, but I'm glad I grabbed it while I could... which was a very short period of time!!

Tazon Husky @tazonhusky.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

I haven't watched the attempt with sound, but I choose to believe it sounds like: >dirt_bike.wav >rev_limit.wav >frying_pan_to_face.wav >crowd_oof.wav >floornoise.wav Sucks it seems broken, but bad motorcross games are, I think, all of them, regardless of platform. I don't envy you playing them ;_;

ECTS 1999 Playstation Upcoming games catalogue. This book, with its velcro fastening flap, contains release info on arguably some of the best games to hit the PS1. Wip3out, Spyro 2, Crash Team Racing, Gran Turismo 2, Ace Combat 3, Final Fantasy VIII. Well packed out this one!

Tazon Husky @tazonhusky.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

I've been picking them up here and there recently too! Also got a 160 and 80gb classic, but the 80gb refuses to power up 😭

PlayStation Extreme Special Edition 1 (WipEout cover ver.) 15/04/2026. A Polish magazine from PSX Extreme, this special comes with one of 8 covers and honestly contains -tons- of PS1 games and history and evidently had a solid amount of effort poured into putting it together!

093

Tazon Husky @tazonhusky.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

Right?! I'd not broken it down like that, but I completely see where you're getting that feeling from it. It looks remarkably complete for what I'm seeing of it too, and I'm wondering how far off of being released the game actually got!

020

Tazon Husky @tazonhusky.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

TnT was supposed to release in Spring 2000, but from my understanding, it fell through due to some of the dev team moving from Hammerhead to Travellers Tales. I feel like I've unearthed something a bit special here! The real question is, does the demo being played still exist..👀

030

Tazon Husky @tazonhusky.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

Hello, me again, how about some very possibly lost media for your perusal? Tricks n' Treasures (TnT) was a cancelled game from Hammerhead for PS1. I have found very little info on it, let alone anything visual, but how about a freakin' video of gameplay of it!!

The Designers Republic 40th Anniversary Sticker Sheet. Sadly I couldn't bankroll one of the Work Buy Consume Die prints when they released... So I consoled myself with some stickers (and a T-Shirt) instead 😛 Nice seeing that the envelope was stamped with TDR40 too!

WipEout 2097 original promo "Feed Me" T-shirt. How about another super rare T-shirt then eh? This time it's an absolutely immaculate example of this promotional 2097 Piranha one! The smile this put on my face as I unfolded it... Chefs kiss. 👌

For some reason, with this challenge, I didn't even stop to contemplate the fact that you've got to suffer through not only the bargain bin crap, but worse... football games 😭

110

Tazon Husky @tazonhusky.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

So, having had a dig through the disc, it's pretty neat! Interactive menu system with music and sounds as well as screenshots and videos for some games... including Wip3out! This video file is dated 25/03/1999 on the disc... so considerably earlier than the release date of 10/09/1999!

071

Tazon Husky @tazonhusky.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Update: The disc reads and I'm just taking an ISO rip of it. Got some funky music on the intro screen to it when I run the application though, so that's pretty sweet!... Will explore the ISO when that's done!

Tazon Husky @tazonhusky.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Here's a proper little rarity for you! Original Screen Stars "Lets Be Friends" Wip3out T-Shirt. Unfortunately I don't know if this was promotional or could be normally purchased back when it was made, but I think we can all agree it's pretty damn cool!

Fluke - The Second Bite vinyl release (standard). Fluke's latest release with TDR design crossover, is an audio journey to be enjoyed from start to finish. Loved spinning this! ❤️ Very nearly didn't get a copy of this as my local record store had the pre-order "fall between the cracks"!

Recently picked myself up a bit of audio kit that I've wanted for a few years. A FiiO M11S. Absolutely gorgeous looking bit of kit and sounds sublime, those gh my current headphones desperately need upgrading! Of course I had to give it a WipEout wallpaper too :P

Spyro Reignited Trilogy Promotional inflatable beach ring... Yes this was absolutely an impulse purchase. No I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do with it. Yes it's bigger than I thought it was. Yes I'm ABSOLUTELY questioning my life choices. HELP.

tDR dropped a 40 years of The Designers Republic limited print run of 40 signed and stamped copies of "Work Buy Consume Die" today. On a totally unrelated note, does anyone have a spare £500 they'd be willing to send me? 😂
