Started Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX! This could be the last UC Gundam I watch as part of this watchthrough. I almost can't believe it. Look at hip hop Haro down there! 😍 GQuuuuuux (that's six u's) envisions an alternate timeline where Zeon won the war. Kycyllia, M'quve and others are alive!

I watched G-Saviour! It was my pleasure to watch this in a discord with a bunch of homies. It was kinda boring at the beginning and the guy playing our hero Mark took some getting used to. Second half of the movie was bonkers. CG somehow outdid itself and had some cool moments.

My friends and I played a game of Mothership, using an awesome time-twisty scenario called Decagone (By @wacomatrixo.bsky.social & Bodie H). It tooks some real turns at the end! youtu.be/h00c16G44UY

Happy kinda sorta anniversary to my Universal Century Gundam watch through! I’ve fallen in love since this post! It also made me feel miserable a lot. Good show. Not much left now…

I started Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory! I think it immediately becomes my favorite looking UC Gundam so far! Very good art and animation for the characters and MSs. Free YouTube version is the English dub which is unusual for my UC watchthrough but fuck it we ball. It could be better.

Started Gundam Reconguista in G. The tone of this movie was like a slap in the face! We've had a dramatic character death already so surely this can't be the joyous Gundam, can it? Well the music and art is surely beautiful. Haven't seen them really flex the animation.

Watched Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance. I thought it was fine with a fatal flaw. It's made in Unreal Engine 5 and boy can you tell with the human characters. The CG mech action is good and I enjoyed Terminator Gundam vs Tragic Zeon Mom. But the OYW by the numbers plot and ugly characters kill it.

I started Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin. I'm excited to see some context behind the boy that would be Char. My big takeaway from episode 1 was lil baby Artesia is cute beyond measure. The vibe of ep 1 was surprisingly funny. The Zabis... charming?? Loved Ramba and Hamon as well.

I haven’t mentioned that I’ve now seen Bandit Flower for the simple reason that I didn’t know Thunderbolt as both a manga and anime are unfinished! Bandit Flower was pretty high quality but definitely felt like an in between episode and of course ends on a huge plot addition.

I started Mobile Suit Victory Gundam. I hear this is the high body count one! And sure enough, yeah.

I watched Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: December Sky! It might be awhile before I can watch Bandit Flower so I've gotta do this while it's fresh. While I think all Gundam is cool this is the *cool* one. This is the one that smokes. The one that gets a billion dollar budget because they have it.

I played Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy! A fucken mouthful! And unfortunately a game I didn't like very much. I dove in without knowing anything because it's a OYW thing and I thought why not! It was exactly what it seemed like: anime cutscenes slapped on a multiplayer game framework

I have started reading Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam! I was going to watch Thunderbolt as my next Gundam but I’m an idiot and bought the wrong region Blu-ray. Oops! Oh well this seems pretty great so far.

I watched Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO 1 and 2! After a brief period getting used to the CG I warmed up to really liking this show! Or it's more accurate to say it just kept getting better and better. It's Gundam's occasional death glorification (which I hate) focused on one thing (kinda sick!)

I watched Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island! I thought it was a mostly excellent return to the original cast! I'm grateful that this got made so I could see my old friends in lovely HD and with a nice fat budget. While there were a few instances of folks acting off character it mostly hit.

I watched Mobile Suit Gundam F91. I suppose this movie was somewhat of a relief and mainly high quality. Mech combat and space disaster mayhem was all wonderfully animated. I thought our human characters looked great and had some good designs.

Say what you will about Crunchyroll but this bumper they used to sell me on Gundam Seed is exquisite.

I have now watched Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative. It was mostly good. It was strange to step into this drama between Jona, Rita, and Michele and get immediately hit with the seething emotion of their lives. I respect Gundam keeping these stories tight by having them backfill other threads.

Happy New Year! I just couldn't stay away from Gundam. I was going to pick it back up after a Breaking Bad rewatch but I'm too in! Since starting Gundam my socials algorithms have pushed a lot of relevant content my way but I've seen nothing about Unicorn!

Merry Christmas! I watched Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket because some folks on Twitter said it was a Christmas movie. That was an obvious lie! It was in fact just as brutal and crushing as anything I've seen in Gundam so far. And Santa was there for a bit. He died too.

Oh I think the women thing was about how war preys on the vulnerable which is why so many young girls were conned into become cyber newtypes by charming, predatory men. That's fine but I don't think you had to go back to that idea so often!

I watched Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack. For me, a let down as the end of Amuro and Char's stories. In particular Amuro. I do have positives! As a movie the huge upgrade in animation and sound quality makes it worthwhile on its own. Good mech fights mean automatic passing grade.

Mobile Suit ZZ Gundam begins! And weirdly it has a recap episode and even a charming introduction to our new protagonist, Judau. He's a junker like Rex Xenoblade 2! If he's half as likable I'll be well pleased. I like Amuro and Kamille is ok but they're both.. difficult.

I have started Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam! The upgrade in art and animation is much appreciated. Very interested in our hero Kamille who is in the blind rage/turbo revenge flavor of space fighter. His parents have died and he understandably cares about little else. Something to build on! Good show!

I'm enjoying replaying my favorite game Bloodborne for the first time in awhile HOWEVER if I could levy a complaint this final run of main game bosses sucks a whole one. And the run backs don't help either! Pretty skies, though.
