Excellent episode about an excellent movie. I know everything’s been about my dad lately, but this made me remember how much he loved watching this with me. I hope you cover KK2 at some point, when they go to Japan- it’s also fun IMO (although not as good as the first one.)

I showed Sean “Legend”, we agreed it was not very good and yet I had watched it so many times as a kid. A real staple of my childhood. The movie is all about visual aesthetic and Tim Curry. Sometimes that’s just how it is. We were both surprised that Robert Picardo was the swamp witch!

I feel like most of the people who like the musical 'Godspell' like it for the wrong reason (the 'God' part and not the 'spell' part) It's about the songs and the aesthetic dammit. (And regarding the movie, it's specifically about NYC-as-a-character/70s New York.) Too many people did it in church.

The timeliness of this post. I’m sending my dad’s copy to the wife of my oldest childhood friend who he loved like a son. She is a Tolkien fan and I asked if she wanted anything and she said to pick her out something Tolkien. There is a lot to choose from.
