I've remembered my Bluesky password to bring you this fanart of Octavia as The Magus from the thoth #tarot deck. with of course, more trippy elements than you really need, but is it one of my tarot pieces if it ISN'T doing that? #fanart #octavia #helluvaboss #owl #furry

"Obviously if he has nails on his feet he also has on his hands" "Obviously if he has hair falling down his face the eyes is not hidden" It's not obvious. Everyone has different ideas. Stop saying "obviously" when you are commissioning art, I can't read your mind about your super duper special OC.

That does sound cool and man takes me back to IRC chat days where I was in one room that took place in this whole-ass setting the owner had put together. Like you'd make a character and get it approved and all that and there were even plots (adventures) you could sign up for. Good times.

wtf I just noticed that too I SWEAR It said Em dashes

011

Channel Artist Tara Miyazee @taramiyazee.bsky.social · 27/07/2026

Oh I agree, but for a while, especially on LinkedIn, SOOOO many people were treating them as "obvious" signs of AI. I love my em dashes

000

Channel Artist Tara Miyazee @taramiyazee.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

I remember reading, a while ago, about AI generated novels popping up on amazon and some of them actually left the prompt in on accident.

000

Channel Artist Tara Miyazee @taramiyazee.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

bruh how lazy do you have to be to leave in prompts or other obvious signs of AI? I'm not even talking like em dashes or things like that. I mean like prompts and such. It's like when fic writers were getting busted using AI on AO3 because they directly copy/pasted text from Claude AI lmao

we’ve reached a point where reading books, verifying information, and expanding your knowledge is sometimes labeled “elitist.” I don’t think curiosity should ever be something we’re ashamed of.

Someone said to me, "I'm sorry but I got your book from a library." Nobody should ever apologise for that. You read my book! That's brilliant! I grew up hanging out in libraries and the idea of a world without them fills me with dread. Without libraries, authors, like readers, will only suffer.

oh no, don't get me wrong! I'm far and away from "that's how it is, it's fair!" I'm just kinda like...in the event there's folks wondering how it could've possibly happened. and yeah it still blows for the artists who were making fan merch :/

Channel Artist Tara Miyazee @taramiyazee.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

so if Amazon failed to respond in time to that DMCA being contested...then YT removes the strike and restores the video.

110

Channel Artist Tara Miyazee @taramiyazee.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

-> to contest it, and at that point, you're telling the copyright holder to take you to court over the matter. Amazon might've felt it not worth it to do that. There's also timelines in regards to how long someone has to respond, and if that timeline lapses, the other party "wins" by default

120

Channel Artist Tara Miyazee @taramiyazee.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

He probably contested it. When a video gets a copyright strike/DMCA, the uploader can contest the removal. Then the copyright holder can basically say "no"; then the uploader can say, "basically yes", and then again, the copyright holder can say "no"; the uploader is allowed one final time ->

Channel Artist Tara Miyazee @taramiyazee.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

that sucks :/ he probably contested it. If something on YT gets DMCA'd the uploader can contest that, then you can end up with a short back and forth with the copyright holder a few times. The final time you contest a DMCA you're basically asking the copyright holder to take you to court over it

Sometimes I read a book and think "I could write something better than this crap" (probably not true, but it feels that way). Then other times I read a book and think "I can't imagine how any person could ever create the sheer magic that is on these pages".

Also others have said it but boycotting will do jack shit and will hurt more than it will help. Remember Spindle IS still technically indie, Amazon deal or not. If you boycott, it won't hurt Amazon a dime, but it WILL hurt the smaller company they are working with.

Yes and this time it's...about a tablet, and the idea of tech replacing toys. Unless the tablet is also an AI tablet...I feel like too little too late. Part of me feels that "The Tablet Villain" was the the other potential go for TS4 and so now we're getting the left over of that.
