Hiii I've just started getting into traditional art recently with alcohol markers and colored pencils, plus I used to do a decent amount of polymer clay art! (Honestly I miss clay too but the brand I'm most familiar with is sooo expensive now that we've moved countries 😭)

I see so many posts about making your own frappes/slushies at home with a blender, but blenders that can successfully crush ice are so expensive 😮‍💨 Life hack: Just make an iced coffee (I use instant coffee, even) in a plastic cup, freeze it for 1-2 hours, then squeeze the sides of the cup 👍

11. I love having different kinds of pets and learning all about how to take care of that species, only to never own that animal again 🤣 Over the years I've had (of course) cats and dogs, but also fish, a gerbil, mice, a bearded dragon, guinea pigs...

Starting to lean more into the "if you don't like a part of the art process, just don't do it" I hate shading/rendering so much but I never know when to stop 😮‍💨 so I just keep going until it looks overworked AND I hated the last 30% of my process like...this is still one of my fav pieces to date?

In this newest version, the colors are bold and bright, the face is slightly stylized, and the lines are generally more confident than the other versions. A rake brush also adds shading detail and texture throughout.

A previous version of the same piece. The lines are all black, which adds a bold look, but less cohesion in the entire piece, and the colors are a little more dull and flat. The hair has some movement to it, but in slightly randomly-placed strokes. The background is a single color with no patterning whatsoever.

The earliest version of this piece. The background is totally white, and the piece in general is very flat, with dull colors and very low-contrast shading. The nose almost blends in with the rest of the face, the eyes are slightly crossed and differently shaped from each other, and the hair is a dull color with almost no motion besides some stratchy lines to show hair texture.

The original photograph of Heejin that the drawings are all based off of, in the same outfit and pose as described in the first image. The background is a black curtain with a little bit of light shining through.

and while I'm here I will share some of my own art too! I draw a lot of my OCs, but also with a good amount of fanart sprinkled in. I mostly focus on digital art but I've been dabbling in alcohol markers and colored pencil lately too!

when are we gonna get a class-action lawsuit for this shit? why does my computer's OS itself and required files take up a THIRD of its total space (which is sold as 256GB and is still only 245 to even begin with)? why did I buy a computer with "256GB" to only be able to use 171???
