Since today is an International Day Against Trafficking, we wanted to talk about ethical production of art & merch. All our projects are co-led by a trafficking survivor, so this is really important to us! We also hope this inspires you to follow these guidelines in your own art too. 🧵

If every website wants to convert images to webp y'all HAVE to start actually accepting them for uploads too 🫩 I have no issue with a new file type being more efficient but why can I not actually use them for ANYTHING besides viewing the pic on my own computer. grow up

To add an extra tip for artists who don’t create merch, consider buying refurbished tech (laptops, tablets, iPads, etc)! This is one of the best ways to stop the current slavery of children and vulnerable families in DR Congo. I’ve had great experiences with BackMarket personally!

Thank you for the art share, Sapling! I'm Oliver, a queer and disabled artist who focuses especially on light and soft edges. I've been switching more to traditional art this past year (and now it is about half the art I do). I especially enjoy soft pastels and oil painting.
