TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 14hSo, that new year's resolution I had. It's going... Somewhat. I've improved, but a long way to go still. It ain't the end of the year, but it's worth remembering your goals. 020
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 29/09/2026Nothing you create blindly with AI has any value to me. It's not about the end result. I want to know that someone cared about what they made. The cheap copy you made in an to attempt to prove AI can "replace you" just shows you don't care to understand. The value was never in the product alone. 1100

I used it to make a cute little interactive debugger demo. You can try it yourself at pema.dev/hlsl/ 56824
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 24/04/2026Venture Into The Unknown was so good. If you don't play VRChat, here's a peek at what it was all about! 031
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 12/04/2026When the gabecube releases I might end up getting one and a TV. Wasn't initially planning to but I see the appeal more and more. Maybe, anyway. 120

TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 07/04/2026Oops I'm late to posting this. I hope you all enjoyed our work on Venture into the Unknown! We worked hard on it, it took a full year, but god damn if it wasn't worth it with what came out of it. 0133
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 31/03/2026I finally got to finish a story about my uncle. Fun story. Also the first game I've managed to finish in years. 020
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 16/03/2026Huh. The dude behind PicoCAD is also the dude behind Icy Tower back in the day. Neat! 000
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 02/02/2026In other words, I'm an introvert who wants to be adopted, come kidnap me and take me places! I like to see cool shit and hang with peeps. I'm often working, so I'm not hopping a lot on my own, but I would love to join you. 140
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 02/02/2026Hey, if you see me online in vrc, I'd love you to invite me places. I don't tend to join peeps who are on orange because I don't want to intrude, but I often still want company. I'm on a lot, often in my home world so peeps can drop by and say hi. You should come say hi sometime. 240
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 02/01/2026Isn't that just vtuber stuff in a nutshell? Why not try that out 110
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 01/01/2026It's been many years. It's still going to take a lot of time. But I'm trying. 040
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 01/01/2026New year's resolution, dev stuff aside: be less lonely. Be more willing to let people in, and try to be okay with having friends care about me. To stop deflecting as much and try to be vulnerable again, and let people actually care about me when they actually try to. 1100
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 27/12/2025It's almost like having an algorithm aggressively forced on you that suppresses those following you from seeing your posts if it doesn't get engagement outside your circles results in people trying to play to the algorithm or something. 000
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 22/11/2025I mostly use the following feed, not the algorithmic one. If you're seeing bullshit on the following feed, you gotta fuck with your follows. 000
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 20/11/2025Either I'm losing my mind or there's been people I followed that I'm not following and people that were following me that aren't. Could be either, but ay. I'm trying to curate a feed here bsky, what are you doing :V 230
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 21/10/2025Too many projects. Slowly getting through em but man, I wish I was busy with smaller interesting things instead of slow moving big things right now. Big things are always coming. I just wish they were a little less big sometimes lmao 110

TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 03/10/2025Oop, I forgot to update here - gumroad unsuspended it, it's now back up for sale where it was. 000
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 29/09/2025It seems Gumroad has suspended sale of the Collar & Leash system. I will be investigating, and if I cannot get it restored, I will announce where it will be sold instead and will send out codes to those who have already bought it to grab it again. 041
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 12/09/2025Been using Kagi now for a while. Pretty much the same as strasz here - it's made search usable. Even without blocking domains and such, it's incredible how good a search engine can be when your eyeballs aren't the product. 061

TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 07/07/2025I don't feel like that solves the issue. Though I don't think any powershell wrapper does, but my point with the ISE is just that it feels incomplete. But this isn't a powershell specific problem, and I myself don't use powershell much. You can apply this to things like openssl, ffmpeg, etc. 100
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 07/07/2025On the other side of things you have the powershell ISE, which is the worst of both. It's a glorified documentation browser. 010
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 07/07/2025Excel is probably the closest thing to it, honestly. Ease of use built in for basic tasks, hilariously powerful tools that are easy to access beyond it. But I wouldn't say excel's UX for that is particularly ideal, just that it seems to work. 110
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 07/07/2025The problem is node editors are great at helping build tools, but they aren't necessarily helpful at making easy to access processes. And few people want to *have* to build their own dashboards. I'm not sure there's a happy medium here that really gives you the benefits of a GUI + CLI-style control. 210
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 06/07/2025CLIs meanwhile, all commands are just a big list. But to expose a CLI as a GUI naively wouldn't work because one big list is a terrible way to organize a GUI, and I don't think you *can* expose all possible CLI workflows with a nice unified GUI. 130
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 06/07/2025I see discussions occasionally about having GUIs replacing command lines. And while I'm all for it, there's a point that I never see discussed. Part of why command lines work so much better than GUIs for some tasks is that GUIs require organization and hierarchy to work. 130

TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 24/06/2025IMO a CloudKey is overkill - you can get the AP to run without even the management software just fine. If you wanna buy into their ecosystem you can, but it's not at all a requirement if you just want a good quality AP to attach to an existing network. 120
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 24/06/2025There is a cloud thing in that when you first set it up it gets hardware locked to your account (you can release it but it's for "anti-theft" - similar to how iphones do) but once it's up it's fully local as far as I can tell. 020
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 24/06/2025Ubiquiti's stuff can do it - I use one without any of their other kit, you just use the mobile app and it'll be an AP without any other stuff going on. 140
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 19/06/2025The secret key bit isn't a huge issue - it's a key, but not one that if "leaked" would allow access to administrative actions over any arbitrary authed account or the application itself, so that's not a huge issue. It's a public component. 110
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 19/06/2025Outside of RPC (which is what gives the nicest experience) there is discord.com/developers/d... as well as gateway - but this will require a bot as you mentioned, so probably not the play.discord.comDiscord for DevelopersBuild games, experiences, and integrations for millions of users on Discord. 110
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 19/06/2025I'm not 100% sure off the top of my head how fugi hits the client (I don't use the standard client so the rpc server doesn't run) discord.com/developers/d... is the actual docs - the private beta has been a thing for a while, but many quick & dirty ones just (ab)use the token used in StreamKit.discord.comDiscord for DevelopersBuild games, experiences, and integrations for millions of users on Discord. 110
TapGhoul @tapghoul.dev · 19/06/2025You're looking at RPC - the problem is the RPC interface isn't open to all. You can use it with a local app iirc but can't publish with it.
