thinking about which JJK student attend/want to attend university

Noritoshi: this one is obvious. I think he gets a degree completely unrelated to anything jujutsu, like speech language pathology, leaving everyone he knew at jujutsu tech to go "... huh."
Nobara: majors in political science. she WILL be taking control of this new jujutsu society and how it integrates with the government, thank you very much.
Megumi: might also major in political science/sociology, might major in medicine. he really likes learning and values the non-jujutsu perspective but wants something he can apply to jujutsu society.
Mai: secretly really wanted to go to university but (correctly) thought it would never happen. didn't have a major in mind but really wanted the experience of university.
Panda: in a different universe he gets a PhD in child development and is really good at his job. in this universe he is a plushie and technically not a Japanese citizen so he's SOL.

I read "Who Will Greet You At Home," a short story imagining a Nigeria where babies are constructed from everyday materials and brought to life through a blessing. Neat premise and enjoyable writing; the author's short story collection has been added to my TBR. www.newyorker.com/magazine/201...

mpreg fandom needs to diversify from omegaverse tbh. it's like lawn monoculture leading to lack of biodiversity, we need wish babies and curses that give men wombs and marsupial men who nurse the fetuses their partners give birth to in their pouches. for the environment.

i should clarify, when i write people doing bad things, it's because i am bad. they are me. more importantly, when you read about those bad things, they also become you. that's how story works. in fact, you are going to think about murder before this skeet ends. how's that feel, sicko.

I was talking on discord about which JJK adults vote

Nanami thinks it's part of being a Responsible Adult. So does Takaba, oddly enough. (Higuruma definitely thinks it's his civic duty.) Wasuke has some pet issue he bases on his votes around but he always votes. Geto doesn't vote (ew monkeys) but he gets his followers to vote. Gojo doesn't think non-jujutsu politics are "real" so he never votes. Naoya doesn't vote for similar reasons. Naobito bribes politicians. Mei Mei votes and bribes politicians. Kenjaku votes for sport. Shoko is too dead inside to vote. It has literally never even occured to Toji to vote.

podcaster AU Sukuna has a show about world history & art. he gets kinda retvrn about the battlefield so sometimes he's mistaken for a Japanese neo-imperialist but he always follows it up with a take so insane it could only come from an alien hiding out on Earth, clearing his rep

if you're going to hook me with a bloodthirsty revenge story, at least let me revel in the righteous violence for a little bit before you start moralizing. you can't just have a side character wringing their hands dig-two-gravesedly from the very first kill. come on

A day when nothing happened.

A telescope image showing a star-lit sky. There is nothing in the center.

A picture of a suburban street in a clear sunny day, pointing towards the sky. The sun sits to the right of the image. There is nothing in the middle.

A statue of an angel. Its mouth has been chiseled away. Behind it, a clear blue sky. There is nothing in it.

A flock of seagulls flying near the edge of the water. There is nothing flying among them. There is nothing casting a strange otherworldly light.

playing around with hairstyles

Yuji Itadori from Jujutsu Kaisen attempts to cut his own hair with Dismantle (or cleave? i can never remember which does what) and ends up with a horrible bowl cut. another doodle has the aftermath of Fushiguro having given him a buzz cut to fix it. a final doodle has Yuji being embarrassed at pulling his hair into a little bun like his bros.

megumi fushiguro and nobara kugisaki doodles where they have various hair styles. megumis are basically just parting his hair a different way and trying to straighten it while Nobara rocks a pixie cut and a long braid.

there’s a BBC documentary on tigers where a first time mom tiger is carrying her screaming cub upside down by the hind leg, drops it on its head, and then watches as it tumbles thonk-thonk-thonk down a hill like, “oh goddammit.” anyway that’s Sukuna and baby Yuuji in any AU where they interact

I can't get into AUs where Modyuu finds reincarnated Sukuna/Gojo/whoever and the reincarnated person is either naturally identical or the reincarnation is treated as a vessel to awaken the past life into. I disagree with it on a metaphysical level, pretentious as that may sound

huge amounts of character morality discourse emerge from treating these as interchangeable 1) [character] would do X 2) [character] would have no moral objection to X 3) I would read fic where [character] does X 4) [character] should do X in canon
