iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Wow, don't think I've ever seen this before!

Oh yes. Plan what to say for days, and then the opportunity doesn't even arise to use it. Ugh.

If these guys would just come out of the closet, the world would be a lot more peaceful.

One good thing about getting older!

Well, growing up in a small town in California, I pretty much thought all "big cities" were dirty and dangerous! After living in cities for my whole adult life, I can see that things are more nuanced than that. Although I still think of NYC and rats b/c of ASM!

The director's cut is definitely an improvement. It looks better and the story flows better. Let me know what you think, Bill!

Covers like this (as well as the interior art) shaped my conception of NYC for many years...and not favorably!

I could listen to The Beatles work through songs all day long. Fascinating.

If you love 2001, or just have an academic interest in it, you must listen to this podcast! And check out Ayesha's other episodes. She is curating a wonderful experience of SF films thru time.

Ayesha, your 2001 episodes were fabulous! I was so pleased when I heard you had Michael Benson as a guest, as I had read his book a few years ago and been enthralled. He and Scott provided much food for thought, and I appreciated your moderation skills (and editing!). What a joy to listen to!

This breaks my heart. Saw it many years ago, and it was so impressive.

I like it! The bass and drums have moved up in the mix, and everything sounds sharper/clearer. The outtakes are my favorite part. Love hearing how songs develop. #Beatles

When this came out, it was the talk of the schoolyard- especially the scene at the window.

Thanks. It's disappointing, but hopefully I get my copy, in good shape, tomorrow. So not terrible. But it does seem like service in general has become less reliable.

This was supposed to be my Beatles Rubber Soul Special Edition CD set. But...instead I got an empty envelope. It doesn't look like it was ever sealed. Anyway, a replacement is coming tomorrow. Tomorrow never knows. (I know, wrong album.)

Mail call: I'm feeling 10 years old again! Especially excited to have Acroyear join my little corner of the Microverse. Thanks, #Super7.

It's Thunderbird, my favorite new X-Man! I wonder what he'll be doing in the next issue? 🙃

Absolutely thrilled with this glorious book on 2001:A Space Odyssey from Taschen. A beautiful presentation and wonderful photos, artwork, and behind the scenes stuff. And I haven't even read anything yet!

You gotta love how this G-rated "kids movie" ends with three bloody deaths. Wheeee!

It's ok. For the 2nd year in a row, I forgot to get pictures of me and my cousins together in San Diego. I think it just means you're having a great time.

One of the 1st JLAs I ever got. I saw all those superheroes and had to buy it!

I love the 70s. It was the best. You could destroy universes, have women marry trees or androids, clone people, it was great.

I know the "monster maroon" uniforms were supposedly dyed versions of the STTMP pajama uniforms, but it just clicked with me that Saavik's robe from the turbolift scene in TWOK was probably Ilia's robe, tailored slightly. #StarTrek

They even say in the article that we no longer live in a monoculture, but then go on to slog anyone who says they haven't heard the song- seems like pointless axe grinding.
