Finished my second ever quilt square today. This time I have the correct seam allowance! Next time I'll try to get my lines straighter. No big project plan yet. Just learning skills with lower stakes. #quilting

I made my first ever quilt square yesterday. It's not perfect, and I'm okay with that. After many many attempts I got all the outside edges lined up. Oh, and my cat, Squirrel, helped. #quilting #catshelping #caturday

My first ever quilt square. Spinning top pattern includes two different dark blue prints and an off-white solid fabric. Not all the squares are exactly the same size, and the creator is genuinely okay with that.

A neighborhood feral kitty got into a fight and had a huge gash on the side of his head. 3 of us neighbors got together and with the help of a fabulous woman and her big cat trap, we got him the help he needed. He was brought back today full of antibiotics and minus some trouble puffs.

On Friday I continued with my annual tradition of mailing out my holiday cards the day after Thanksgiving. I use my fiction writing time the whole month of November to handwrite personalized letters to friends and family. It is my gift to them.

Last night for dessert my husband created a sampler platter of some of the varieties of figs from our garden. So yummy! #gardening #figs

Took an introduction to curling class last night. So much fun! Thanks to my years of dance training my form didn't completely suck (except for the time I supermanned on the ice), but I had no power. Practice will make better. #curling #tryingnewthings
