Nino has taken over the super snuggly blanket I got for Xmas. Sometimes, he even shares it w/me, which is good since my 2024 has kicked off w/the Head Cold from Hell, and I’m in desperate need of snuggly comfort. How’s your first week of the new year been? Hopefully less mucous-filled than mine! .

Phew! My first bread of 2024 was a success. Which is a relief since the last bread of 2023 was an absolute horror show of baking. Smelled great, looked great, then it completely collapsed in the oven. It was edible (barely), but now ranks quite high on My Baking Disasters list.

What are you reading on this fine #FictionFriday ? I just started this one a couple days ago and am enjoying it so far. Despite being set in the early 1900s, it's got a fun "Ocean's Eleven" vibe to it. Still, while the plot has me intrigued, I've yet to connect with any of the characters.

What mistakes have you been up to this week? For me: Using my skills of idiocy, I FINALLY finished this "easy" project. See, Queen of the Idiots (aka "me") got in a rush, saw 20 cm, and thought that was the DESIGN size*, when in fact it was the cut FABRIC size. *The design should have been 8 cm.

What did you read this week?? For me, it was Animal Castle by Xavier Dorison & Felex Delep It's an amazing, and strikingly grim, tale of fighting for what's right, with gorgeous illustrations that drive home the intensity and the passion of the story. The artist really stirs up all the feels!
