It seems relatively straightforward since that URL part is guaranteed to have either at least one `.` or be a `did:…`. The main issue is probably that the difference would increase maintenance burden when upstreaming or integrating changes from elsewhere. A redirect to `profile/` may be easier.

… would be a good idea in my opinion, maybe with a click-through where the target and scope is selected, potentially with comment box, and then that's logged only once for the next hour or two where it's 'unlocked'. That would make it much easier to use in a professional context, in my opinion.

I think there's probably a way to at least not encourage overly broad rifling, for example checking one account's space records at a time is likely needed, but browsing all users at once by collection may not be. For apps with multiple moderators, including space access in a mod-visible audit log…

Ich habe das schon etwas länger auf dem Schirm, teilweise auch weil einiges davon als Memes oder unzusammenhängende Negativmeldungen in meine sozialen Bubbles rüberschwappt. Oft ist das dann "genug Internet für heute" für mich, auch wenn's sicher gut ist, diese Ideologien klar erkennen zu können.

Jedes Mal, wenn ich etwas zu diesem Themenkomplex mitbekomme, bekomme ich Kopfschmerzen, weil sich dabei ausnahmslos irgendwelche mir neue menschliche Abgründe auftun 😩 Ich finde es aber wichtig, dass das zunehmend so klar benannt wird, wie es auf den letzten paar Seiten des Dokuments steht.

I feel like the modality of the job market may have the highest inertia of all here in Germany 🫠 I just added my sifa.id as 'Im Fokus' link to my LinkedIn. My field recruits by ML-and-spam, so no dice, but at least it's one CV page I don't loathe. Small act of rebellion while the world is molasses.

This unfortunately uses `transition:generic`, so I won't vote there (cc @poll.blue plz fix), but yeah tilting feels obvious. But then again pretty much nobody crumples water bottles here at all because then they don't work well with the deposit machine, so I guess it's maybe a country thing too?

i think we need to do a permission sets push... permission sets are mainly for giving nice human-readable, user-friendly descriptions of resources! if your OAuth screen looks like this, consider publishing/using permission sets. this is scary/useless/non-sensical to users

I also think that using edits for ads would burn through someone's audience very quickly though (unless people like the ad), so this may be a problem that doesn't have much impact due to having decent social consequences.

I don't think a non-notifying option would work at all, you'd have the same problem of the retraction having maybe 5% of the reach of the original that way. Something that notifies but just says the post has been retracted in a way that can't carry ads might be an option.
