Tamar Millen @tamarmillen.bsky.social · 03/09/2026August cranes. Again fewer than normal. August was also brutal. Duck addition still there. 210

Tamar Millen @tamarmillen.bsky.social · 19/08/2026It’s not objective truth. A heavily curated vibe with a high-budget lighting package. Are we actually learning facts, or just watching well-packaged opinions? Don't be fooled, a bit of reading, decent sleep, some light exercise and you won't need them. 000
Tamar Millen @tamarmillen.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Documentaries aren’t real. They are a social construct. 🤫📺 There are so many of them these days. Throw in some cello music, a bit of dramatic to camera opinion, heavy editing and a director’s bias and boom you’ve "constructed" a new reality. 🎻✨ 100
Tamar Millen @tamarmillen.bsky.social · 13/08/2026It is a recurring date in mine. But also because its Emma C's birthday and shes also a leftie. I'd love a conference. 100

Tamar Millen @tamarmillen.bsky.social · 05/08/2026In the olden days (2009 - 15) I would call on the hive mind of the other place. Does this place works similarly? I'm looking for a short poem/song lyrics or the like that may appeal to late teens. S/thing about death of a peer. Or Dylan's death having no dominion. What say you BSky? 101
Tamar Millen @tamarmillen.bsky.social · 04/08/2026Or if you fancy a good music read this one is ace. (I may be biased) 010
Tamar Millen @tamarmillen.bsky.social · 04/08/2026They dont look like gentle reads... maybe buy a Terry Pratchett for balance. 111
Tamar Millen @tamarmillen.bsky.social · 04/08/2026July cranes. I'd love to say there are fewer than normal because I'm less stuck. The truth is July has been brutal for our teens and their friends. So no writing has been attempted, just holding people and wishing differently. One of these things is not like the others. 120
Tamar Millen @tamarmillen.bsky.social · 01/07/2026Millen is in Milan. In name at least. Anticipations conference. This is not the PhD. Its a side quest. I am very proud of it. Thanks Vale for being the Italy rep. 110
Tamar Millen @tamarmillen.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Yes! This is my theory. The loss you experience matters to how you go about designing the conditions for hope to flourish. I'm concentrating on S.Yorks and looking at how socially engaged arts practice does it. Im using an approach to loss that comes from family therapy. 110
Tamar Millen @tamarmillen.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Perhaps if we had treated deindustrialisation as the actual loss (to self/communities/place) it was and had acknowledged and supported the "grief" we would be in a better position. (*this is core to my PhD argument) 110

Tamar Millen @tamarmillen.bsky.social · 19/05/2026I had a vague feeling it was a Samuel Beckett. But it was the early 90s, I had student life to get on with. It slipped out of my mind. Then about 10 years later I was talking to someone and somehow this play was mentioned. It was Beckett. I carried on with life. Didn't think much more of it. 110
Tamar Millen @tamarmillen.bsky.social · 19/05/2026In the early 90s I saw something on TV. A strange film. A woman in a rocking chair. I tried to find out what it was. Failed.
