Looks like the fake story from 7 months ago about Norway's prime minister using a red pen to mark up and grade a "letter" (it was a text message) from the US president is making the rounds again. Updating the misinformation list accordingly.

FYI several were added to the misinformation risk list yesterday for posting obviously false and debunked information about @abdulelsayed.bsky.social. He did not run a "dog slaughterhouse".

JD Vance Bluesky post with @petemarchetto.bsky.social replying directly to him:

Oh, you poor, dear thing. This isn't Twitter. You have to up your game. You really do.JD Vance Bluesky post with @petemarchetto.bsky.social replying directly to him:

We wish. You, on the other hand, (if you have any sense), do not.

America may be forging ahead of the rest of the world in many areas, but when it comes to the things electors care about most, you're stuck somewhere in the 1930s as a nation.

Mamdani is offering the alternative you always fear.JD Vance Bluesky post with @petemarchetto.bsky.social replying directly to him:

For sure. Trump's been firm with Putin putting him on a two-week deadline.

Indeed, he's been very firm with him. This is about the seventh two-week deadline.

I don't see any other leaders out there who have put Putin on so many two-week...
deadlines.

I'm confident Trump will keep giving him two-week deadlines until 2029. That'll be nearly 100 two-week deadlines.

Where's everyone else on the two-week deadlines? Nowhere, that's where.JD Vance Bluesky post with @petemarchetto.bsky.social replying directly to him:

Hey, JD, given the impact you had on the Hungarian elections, can you come to England and give your public support to Reform?

Please?

Pretty please?

They detached their post, so I'll paste it here to preserve the context. Plus the receipts. After all, I did say they were easy to produce.

Post 1/3:
Ladees and gennelmen, I give yew... the ultimate brainless moron.

@talesofmoderation.bsky.social has many lists, including one he's just added me to: "JD Vance Engagement (Automated)": 'Users that have engaged with JD Vance by reposting, quoting or liking his posts and/or participating in the...

Perhaps the user doesn't realise that Vance is the VP of the USA and is thus inescapable, and people doing that could be anyone doing virtually anything.

Is there some sort of IQ level you have to get below on Bluesky in order to be a listmaker? It...

1. People should use Bluesky how they want and stop worrying if, by consequence, others decide they want to avoid them. 2. It's dumb to expect us to credulously believe that any account is inescapable here the land of the Nuclear Block. 3. It's trivial to produce the receipts for this list.

We have decided to label this post as "Suspected AI Imagery". Here's how we came to this conclusion, as an example of our process. It takes time and effort, and we try to make our due diligence as much as possible. First, there is no known source for this video. No news coverage. 1/6

Hey everyone! 👋 I want to share an update on @aimod.social:
Thank you to everyone who put your trust in the @aimod.social labeler. Your support means the world to me and the whole team. The project is officially restarting, but I am stepping down from my role.

While I had an amazing team alongside me and the work we did felt fulfilling and meaningful, being the primary public face took a toll. Between the massive time commitment of moderation and the stress of navigating disputes over mistaken labels, I realized it is time for me to step back and focus on other projects.

As a team, we collectively decided to pause the labeler recently. We needed that time to overhaul our methods and revise terminology to ensure the project is done right, better serves the community, and protects the people who give so much of themselves to keep @aimod.social operational.

The labeler is in great hands with the same amazing team. I can’t express enough just how incredible they are and how dedicated they’ve been to protecting and informing the art community. Please keep an eye out for an official update from the @aimod.social account! (side note: they will likely need more volunteers soon, too!)

I am passing the baton and stepping away from project duties, but I'll always be rooting for them.

Thank you all for the support. ❤️

Got a real doozy of a DM today (name redacted). They claim to have lawyers! And #Listifications of course.
To the attention of the user @talesofmoderation.bsky.social
 owner:

After 48 hours, we contact you to inform you of the following, in relation to the inclusion of <redacted-follow-farmer> in "Mis/Disinformation Risks (Follow Farming, etc)" moderation list.

You have committed an abuse specified in principle 2, section B, point II, of the "Bluesky Community Guidelines" which expressly states: "Do not abuse Bluesky's features (lists, tags, community moderation tools), engage in mass reports in bad faith, use automated harassment systems, or create single-purpose harassment accounts." Therefore, a complaint will be filed against you with Bluesky for non-compliance with moderation guidelines.

It is also failing to comply with the regulations of the EU Digital Services Act, which aims to create a safer digital space in which users' fundamental rights are protected. Under this regulation, you are required to "Provide clear information about content moderation decisions," which you have not been required to comply with upon request.

Having indicated and provided you with a time of 48 hours for compliance with the regulations, and having refused to do so in a timely manner, we have no choice but to file a complaint against you before the bodies responsible for compliance with the terms of the "EU Digital Services Act", (2021/784) that will be responsible for requesting Bluesky your identification so that the infringement lawsuit can be notified and you can be brought carry out legal proceedings for damage to honour and/or integrity and image.

With nothing more to add for the time being, it will be our lawyers who will contact you.

Until then, have a nice day.

I wouldn't call myself an arbiter, but a provider of options. It's up to the person who subscribes to decide whether the criteria the list uses is to their liking. Moderation lists don't cause reputational harm to anyone on them, so no I'm not worried about that.

The list is based on findings from studies of how misinformation spreads online. Call that opinion if you want. Not my business. Evaluating risk is only partly about intent. The list is tremendously useful on my personal account, and the others using it appear to feel the same. No luck required.

This list exists to help its subscribers avoid false information, not to educate the people who are added to it. An account that has already shared misinformation is much more likely to do so again, and it belongs on the list.

Other good questions are: Who do they follow? and How often do they post? If one or both are large numbers, be wary. There's only so much vetting a person can do of who they follow or what they share. Consider unfollowing. None of these are rules, but all are worth consideration.
100
Tales of Moderation @talesofmoderation.bsky.social · 04/02/2026
As for who to follow/avoid: Are they willing to delete the false information? A reply or follow-up post isn't good enough. If they won't delete, they're either too interested in clout to care, or are spreading it purposefully. For me that's a block every time.
100
Tales of Moderation @talesofmoderation.bsky.social · 04/02/2026
I don't track bots or trolls, but questions help avoid spreading misinfo: - Who posted it? Are they a legit source? - Does it include links to a reliable source? - Is it fact-based (names, real places, dates/times) or emotional? - Do text/images show signs of AI use? This is all common advise now.
