RNA-binding proteins and ribonucleoproteins as determinants of immunity - Nature Reviews Immunology
RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) considerably expand the information content of the genome and can determine the lifespan, localization and function of RNA, thereby controlling when, where and how much pro...

Check out this awesome article by Andrew during his time in Penghua Wang's lab on GLUT4's role in innate immunity - it was a privilege to get to watch this work go from idea to reality during our PhDs in our many "window chats" and contribute to the project!

New preprint 📣📣 Together with Monika Wolker's lab @sanquin Amsterdam, we optimized a smFISH protocol for T cells. We measured cytokines IFNG/TNF expression and localization during T cell activation and optimized an imaging pipeline for quantification. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

Single molecule imaging of transcription dynamics, RNA localization and fate in T cells
T cells are critical effector cells against infections and malignancies. To achieve this, they produce pro-inflammatory cytokines, including IFN-gamma and TNF. Cytokine production is a tightly regulat...

Autoregulated splicing of TRA2β programs T cell fate in response to antigen-receptor stimulation
T cell receptor (TCR) sensitivity to peptide–major histocompatibility complex (MHC) dictates T cell fate. Canonical models of TCR sensitivity cannot be fully explained by transcriptional regulation. I...
