Went to my first hockey game tonight! Friend invited me somewhat last minute, turns out he had tickets from work to one of the suites. Suite 69, specifically. Nice. Was really fun, Wild won 3-2 over Chicago so Malört is now illegal. I get it now. I get Sports.

Finally made it to the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis and saw the Turnblad Mansion. Absolutely beautiful, and the history behind it is steeped in immigrant community (as are most things).

If you make tomato sauce and have leftover skins from a food mill or something, you can dry them for several hours in a thin layer in the oven then put them through a food processor and sifter to get tomato powder. Really tasty and a good way to make use of scraps.

Not finished, but functional. I am probably going to redo the top curved piece because it was traced off the old rotted piece and I thought of a better way to get the profile correct. Still needs some sanding and staining, but it’s almost there.
