I forgot to do a timelapse of the first one but I remembered for this one. Can't fit the video here so it's on YouTube :) www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lHx...

May be intentional 👀 (The original background image is titled 'Bliss', hence the sails name 😄)

I've got some more to post, might post them all throughout today 😄

I actually can't quite decide which one I like more of these two. Difference is purely just the white border around each sail. I did it on accident and then realised it makes for a really cool contrast, framing the scene. 🤔 I think people seem to prefer the borderless one on the right

A heavily edited Sea of Thieves screenshot. It shows my large pirate on the left atop a rock, in the foreground, he's painting onto a piece of paper. Behind him in the middle of the scene sits a large galleon ship, personally painted with a scene of a bright blue cloud-filled sky, and rolling green hills below. Text on the screen to the right reads "Blissful Backdrop Sails", and text on the left reads "Created By Taaamas", "Sail Design Competition".

"Direct your dream game" says Unity Y'all game direction is many things but I can guarantee you that "genre + setting" is not game direction for anyone who has been a game director even just for 5 minutes Which should tell you enough about who made this, and whether you should trust them with this

wild to be living in a world with live-streamed state executions and legal daylight kidnappings, but every time you turn around some loser is saying, hey man, what if art were completely frictionless? what if we killed even the possibility of human connection??

In 2017 Universal wanted to start their cinematic "Dark Universe" with a Mummy movie. During the production I was chosen as background artist for a companion game, developed in just 8 months crunch. The movie wasn't just bad but considered worst movie of the year which destroyed the games sales.

Did you know you only need a small brain to make silly little drawings?

4 panel comic:
Panel 1: pink blob guy on a table, pencil in their hands. Grey circle on a piece of paper and a glass of water on the table. They say “look here”
Panel 2: Proudly, they hold up the drawing of a grey blobby character on two stick legs up in the air. The pink blob says “I drew this!”
Panel 3: Satisfied they sit back down on the table. They now go “it’s not much, but..” The grey drawing looks a bit peeved because the drawer is calling it “not much”
Panel 4: But it’s okay, because now the pink blob is very pleased finally. He says “it came from my brain!” Holding the pencil up. The grey drawing blob is happy again, too. End well, all well!

Moth 🔦 first picture in my October series!

A digital illustration of a giant moth fae with glowing yellow eyes clinging to a lighthouse. At it's base, a lighthouse keeper emerges from his house to investigate.

My stock response to the folks now saying they include “just a little AI” in their shitty games.

Buddy, if you used AI for some of it, I can only assume you used AI to do all of it. Hell, I assume you used AI to write this email.

Hardest of passes.

"This game's dead/alive based on Steam statistics!" "That game's dead/alive based on Twitch statistics!" Sorry but I will only really judge whether a game is alive or not, based on how much fan art it still regularly circulates. To me, that is the true sign of a thriving audience

About a decade of doing digital art and I still have no idea how Blending Layers actually work, or remember which ones do what. I just click on them all at random until something works :)

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:

Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

Unfortunately, that kinda thing is going to happen whether you are perfecting it to it's fullest, or leaving errors. Someone will come along and say either "This is too perfect, that's clearly AI", or "This is too sloppy, that's clearly AI". Both people having no clue what makes an AI image 'AI'.
