Hello, I'm Nathan. A lot of you may know me as bixteus or Nate. But I'm … Nathan Rodriguez needs your support for Help Xena Find Shelter After Her Home Fire
![[picture of a regular Thwomp]
Thwomp as he appears in Super Mario Galaxy
[picture of a Thwomp with no eyes and four eyes where his mouth should be]
Thwomp as he would appear if his face texture was applied as-is instead of being partially mapped to different places
Please note that UV mapping, the practice of applying textures to a model via coordinate projection, often results in scrambled and misplaced parts in the image. The fact that the texture is different from the finished model after projection is not itself notable. I am merely pointing out the unintentionally unsettling imagery resulting from placing the eyes into the mouth but having an otherwise intact face in this instance.
[Mario texture with no eyes]
A typical Mario texture (from Super Mario Party). Mario's eyes not being in their eye sockets is normal. If they were inside his mouth, however, it would be notable.
