To carry 50,000 people per hour in each direction, a city needs a 175m wide road for cars. Even if those cars are electric. And then there’s all the parking. OR a city can move A LOT MORE people in a lot less space, with A LOT LESS public money, emissions, pollution, noise etc. Choices. Simple.
Graphic showing a single lane 9 m wide track for metros, a 35 m wide road for buses with four lanes, and a 175 m wide road for cars with seven lanes, making the point that one single track of Metro replaces seven lanes of car traffic. Mobility in cities is about space.

Took it upon myself to think of THEE #1 most consequential aspect of Project 2025 yet to be (45%) implemented. Really tried to find my way around it, b/c the truth is terrifying. Typed it up then ran the highly specific query through Gemini to double check. I hate being right. It's law enforcement.
September 17, 2026 at 4:00 PM

The single most consequential, society altering aspect of Project 2025, yet to be fully implemented, presuming a fully aligned 6-3
Supreme Court:
The complete centralization and weaponization of federal law enforcement via total application of the doctrine of the Unitary Executive.

While policy changes like abortion bans or federal grant elimination target specific sectors, the absolute centralization of the Department of Justice (DOJ) FBI, DHS, and the military apparatus will alter the foundational architecture of American constitutional democracy itself.

This centralization of law enforcement affects all 335+ million people in the United States and permanently rewrites 250 or more years of legal and societal norms.
