Finally getting my ADHD assessment 8 years after realising I am in fact ADHD, here's to hoping it's perfectly in time to get medicated in time to absolutely lock in on working on my graphic novel 🤣

Working on designing how I want to do my zombies for my graphic novel, but in paint on black paper, so this is the first one 👀 Perfectly in time for spooky season!

#DVparty day 1, here is some simple but beautiful art I commissioned from @t-w-night.bsky.social for the inside of my book THE NEVERBIRD, an NA/YA crossover twist on the classic story of Peter Pan that I am querying. Moodboards from last year are on my page too. For the throne×A sea of risk and ruin

GOOD LUCK WITH QUERYING! You've got this!

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Also a little side note: because this will all be broken down into panels I'm not trying to write it well, I'm trying to focus on things that will translate well for me visually in order to make them into the graphic novel 🖤

WIP Wednesday - Trying to get back into the rhythm of posting these while I do the writing plot prep for my Graphic Novel, Violets in May. If you like Australian Media, Zombies, found family and Lesbians, this one's for you 🖤

WIP Wednesday post on a brown background with lineart if Violets.
"… What is that?" Brick asked nervously.
Kat looked at Ivory, their leader's eyes were narrowed as she focused on the humming rumble growing steadily louder.
"Car, possibly. Everyone get inside, now!" Ivory ushered them into the closest building, vines covering most of the front of what used to be a café. It was darker inside, and Kat tensed up.
Dark wasn't good.
Dark created hiding places that weren't just for the living.
Everyone crouched by the windows, mostly peering through gaps in the vines and dust they cleared off the glass panes. But Kat couldn't focus on the outside when she didn't even know what was inside. Fingers brushed against hers and she jerked, glancing at Ivory who was watching her with that solemn look, and she gestured further in. Ivory nodded, gripping her bat and crouch-walking through the silence of the café to check the space. Jonah noticed and followed after her.
The sound of the vehicle got closer and Kat looked outside in time to see an armoured Army ute rolling slowly through.
"Shit, they're armed to the teeth," Lilith whispered as she moved across to Kat's side. "How close are we to an Army base?"

This is exactly ehat I wanted, thank you!

Thank you! Series is an anti-hero, corrupt system kind of deal, like if the batfam were witches and lived in a cyberpunk dystopia instead. Fantasy/Romance. GN is A lesbian romance in a zombie apocalypse (set post-apocalypse, like 10 years later) in Australia. Romance/Horror

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

I've followed a few bunches now but if you've got any good recs for me to follow 👀

110

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

That's not what I posted at all. I posted that I wanted fellow comic artists to follow to have on my Timeline. I AM a comic artist, I don't need anyone fo make art for my novel 😂 please read posts properly haha!

110

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

What exactly are we discussing here? I'm not looking for work to be done, you might he in the wrong place?

100

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

I just want fo follow fellow comic artists

100

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

I'm an artist so I do my own! I'm also an author so it's best to start the planning and writing first for scripting, otherwise I'd just end up losing myself. Still working out style while I write everything out but it's currently driving me insane 😂 but this stuff is generally what I do for it 🥰

110

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

I'll keep that in mind! I don't think I have enough knowledge of fellow comic artists and what type of comic artist starter to piece together to run one yet, but hopefully 👀 I haven't gotten to art stage quite get but I've got plans/things organised for two different works (one series, one GN)

110

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Just a little character art :))))

010

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

I just want more artists with similar goals around haha

010

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Does anyone have any comic artist following starter packs? I need more comic/graphic novel artists on my TL. Or should I make one?

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Oh this is gorrgggeousss! Major kudos for working trad cause wow 😍

110

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Okay but what iff... What if Tomorrow when the war began x Resident evil but it's like... Queer + zombie apocalypse in Australia, with lesbian romance front and centre. Are we into that? 👀 If I'm doing that do we want that? 👀👀👀 I'm tryna see something 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

000

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Uhh.... Mining without a permit? I'm pretty sure I played stardew last 🤣

010

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

I also am in need of sorting out an ADHD diagnosis which is NOT cheap, and costs over 1k (aud), and I would only get some of that back on medicare rebate. Thank you for understanding!

000

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

As an artist with chronic illness, I rely on my wife (who currently works 4 jobs to cover us!) to cover costs. I want to reach a place where I can contribute equally and help lighten the pressure.

110

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

I know upping pricing can be quite controversial. My prior pricing put me at $14 an hour, I couldn't even cover basic household bills for a single month.

100

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

If you want a commission that isn't listed, please email me to work something out! 🖤 Drop any questions to my email (last page) or in the comments.

100

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

This is my updated portfolio! I'm bringing the prices up closer to what is actually survivable as this is my primary job as a chronic illness artist, and it will stay at this rate until my 2027 portfolio update 🖤

There are so many things I never considered would have to go into comic prep, it's never as straight forward as you'd expect. Today's edition; designing each of my witch MCs magic visual type 🤣

Theoryly @t-w-night.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Gave my main OC Leon a Spidersona. I think he'd still go by his current vigilante name of Eclipse, he IS a witch so I feel like he'd be fine as a spiderman too 😂 Next up is making Faust a deadpool varient, for funsies.

Getting sick right at the start of artfight has to be some kind of punishment, I can't stay upright for long enough to finish my second piece and frankly it's homophobia.

I know this is not the biggest concern going these days, but it stresses me out that basically every artist/writer/critic is now expected to create their own tiny empire instead of getting paid by any existing entity to perform a job they've worked to get good at!!!!
