WIP Wednesday - Trying to get back into the rhythm of posting these while I do the writing plot prep for my Graphic Novel, Violets in May. If you like Australian Media, Zombies, found family and Lesbians, this one's for you 🖤

WIP Wednesday post on a brown background with lineart if Violets.
"… What is that?" Brick asked nervously.
Kat looked at Ivory, their leader's eyes were narrowed as she focused on the humming rumble growing steadily louder.
"Car, possibly. Everyone get inside, now!" Ivory ushered them into the closest building, vines covering most of the front of what used to be a café. It was darker inside, and Kat tensed up.
Dark wasn't good.
Dark created hiding places that weren't just for the living.
Everyone crouched by the windows, mostly peering through gaps in the vines and dust they cleared off the glass panes. But Kat couldn't focus on the outside when she didn't even know what was inside. Fingers brushed against hers and she jerked, glancing at Ivory who was watching her with that solemn look, and she gestured further in. Ivory nodded, gripping her bat and crouch-walking through the silence of the café to check the space. Jonah noticed and followed after her.
The sound of the vehicle got closer and Kat looked outside in time to see an armoured Army ute rolling slowly through.
"Shit, they're armed to the teeth," Lilith whispered as she moved across to Kat's side. "How close are we to an Army base?"

I've been testing colouring styles for my comic, and while I do love a good polished look (left), it's just *not* time effective. So now I'm testing sketch colouring instead (right) and I think I'm in love 👀 I would clean it up more and add some more highlights, but this one was just a tester.
