That is infuriating 😡 I worked there for a while, not in mortgage but mortgage adjacent. A big part of my job was dealing with the aftermath of people like that lender, who were either ignorant or diabolical (possibly both). I do not miss it. And they did not pay me enough

You’re right, I don’t want people to lose jobs I read that Ellison heavily leveraged Oracle into OpenAI and is hemorrhaging money. This deal is his best hope at staying afloat. If it fails, he is screwed So really I want it to fail in a way that only hurts him and Sam Altman

Oh well in that case welcome back! I guess they can be hit or miss around Cannon Beach, but I’ve gone there and seen them strolling down the street, snacking on plants! I’ve also seen them at Ft Stevens in Astoria where they’re not phased by humans at all. They know it’s a safe place 😂

Because I’m a library evangelist, I have to add that I got these tickets for free from the library. Check if your library has a Discover Pass (it might be called a Culture Pass or Explore Pass). You can get free passes to zoos, museums, symphonies, operas, etc. It’s such a cool resource!

It was Tchaikovsky’s Symphony #5 and the West Coast premiere of The Righteous Path by Jessie Montgomery, performed by cellist Abel Selaocoe. He got such a long ovation he came back for an improvised encore and got the audience singing along. I wasn’t expecting that, it was really fun and unique.

I went to my first ever symphony last night, and it was awesome. I appreciate classical music, but I wasn’t sure how much I’d enjoy watching it be played without all the production of a pop concert. Turns out, listening to beautiful music being played in beautiful rooms is a sublime experience
