🐙 TODAY IS WORLD OCTOPUS DAY 🐙 Octopuses are intelligent, mysterious & vital to our oceans. Yet many suffer from overfishing, bycatch & cruel octopus farms. Protecting them means protecting ocean biodiversity. #FriendsNotFood #SaveTheEarth

The Port of London Authority says that a pod of approximately 25 long-finned pilot whales has been reported within the River Thames east of Gravesend. British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) is monitoring them and keeping boats away.

I asked the Health Secretary to intervene in the planning system so people in conservation areas like Cheltenham can cool their homes in hot summers. It’s a health risk that will only get worse. I’m not convinced by her reply, particularly the suggestion we all go to the local community centre.

'“Why is this a bank holiday anyway?” someone asked me one Monday in May, in roughly the way you’d address a question to ChatGPT if it complained a lot more and never shut up about its dog...' So, I decided to find out.

Why is this a bank holiday, anyway?

I don’t like Mondays.

The Gestapo marched hundreds of thousands of innocent people to their deaths. I've ended private schools' tax breaks to invest in state schools. No responsible leader makes vile comparisons like this. Kemi Badenoch is not fit to be Prime Minister.

Getting a bit into the historical weeds now, but - with enormous credit to @electionmaps.uk - unless the nine inner London wards without data are enormously Labour, the party has fallen to its lowest vote share in the 12 inner boroughs since 1912.

It was wrong when the media did this to Ed Miliband when he was leader and it is wrong to do this to Polanski. Genuinely have no idea how awfulness like this gets past editors… It’s really not that hard to criticise policies or politicians without being antisemitic.
