Here are some details about the AU! (Originally written in a Twitter thread, but joined here for easier reading)

So Beauty and the Beast Ratiorine!

In this, Ratio is cursed similar to Beast is, but the main difference is that he depends more on his own self-image. He chose to lock himself away with a huge library to try and find some research project that would satisfy the Genius Society. He neglects himself as he throws himself into work. That is until Aventurine stumbles into his garden. Unbeknownst to him, Aventurine was sent to Ratio in order to steal research from him via the IPC. This means Aventurine willingly is 'captured' by Ratio as punishment.

However, both grow more attached to each other than either of them expects. Aventurine finds he doesn't want to leave the Doctor's side as Ratio turns out to be more than a 'Beast' as he's been labeled. Ratio is tortured by his failures, and Aventurine is damaged by his past.

But the time will come when Aventurine has to show results or the IPC will come to take from the Doctor by force. Similar to Belle and Beast, they have one night where they dance and share a wonderful time together. The dancing is deeply meaningful to Aventurine as he would dance with his deceased sister long ago, so by the end of the night he resolves himself to tell the truth to Ratio.

But Ratio lets Aventurine go and says he doesn't have to stay anymore. He's free to go.

Boldly, Aventurine returns to the IPC empty handed and declares the venture a lost cause and not worth their efforts any further. Aventurine stands ready to accept any punishment if it's to protect Ratio and his kindness.
But the IPC refuses and chooses to continue forth.

Knowing Ratio is in danger, Aventurine races to Ratio's quiet home to try and warn him. He arrives just as the IPC does, but Aventurine is able to enter Ratio's home first as he is familiar with the ways of it. The reunion is short as Aventurine tries to warn Ratio of the IPC. Ratio calms Aventurine and promises that it is alright. Ratio decides to make a deal with the IPC: his years of research for Aventurine's freedom and their peace.

Seeing as the IPC receives what they had wanted, they agree and relinquish Aventurine from the IPC's hold. Aventurine is concerned about the deal, because the IPC is notorious for being unscrupulous. But he's relieved that Ratio is ok.

After the IPC leaves, Ratio says that Aventurine need not stay just because he is free from the IPC now. But Aventurine gets angry and says he is. Aventurine comes clean about how everything started but ends by saying he's fallen for the Doctor and can't bear to leave now. Ratio has given him what he's always wanted: a home. Ratio is surprised but lights up as he had been sacrificing his own feelings for Aventurine.

Ratio, having found peace outside of his research and found meaning again, transforms back into his human state in a flash of feathers. Aventurine keeps a few of the feathers as an earring in memory.
And they live happily ever after weeeeee

#ratiorine About a year ago, I began work on a Beauty and the Beast AU for ratiorine as part of a small group bang. The project fell through BUT I wasn't about to let this go so I went ahead and finished my Beauty Aven and Beast Ratio piece (and threw in an extra Ratio).

"I won't let you take her!" -What happens if Encore is taken by the Fractsidus? How would Aalto react? How badly would he try to fight his way to her? Here is an overclocked Aalto just for the occasion. Pushed too far, his forte starts to take from his own body to satisfy it's need for water. #aalto

In April I participated in an art submission for Yuzuha over at Kettei's Gang discord group. The theme was spring night and I thought it'd be cute to do her having fun at the cherry blossom festival! I imagined Alice as the one taking the photo so they are enjoying it together! #zzz #yuzuha

#braalto #mistysea How about some Alien Stage, but Aalto and Brant in place of Luka and Hyuna? C: The Aalto sketches were from awhile back so there is definitely some improvement between the sets, but I still think its fun to see them together. My second Brant one is probably my favorite.

I had this work in progress for over a year and I kept meaning to come back to it, but felt I couldn't match my vision? In short I was avoiding it so I finally just sat down and finished it. It's rough still, but I still think its good to just get it out there. #drratio #hsr #mintyart

Back at it with those surrealist or eerie pieces again Also threw in an AU I cooked of Wuwa characters having wings. Aalto has wings based on falcons/swallows which are adept at fast flying which I thought was fitting with Aalto's dashes. #mintyart #aalto #wuwa

#Ratiorine Isekai story where Ratio is the one who gets bonked. He wakes up in a romance novel where Aventurine is the charming prince that married the FL. He's the role of a friend to her and supposed to be a love triangle. He is still in a love triangle... Just not for the FL.

I wanted to draw some characters in different outfits, and I started off with Phainon. I wanted to lean into the country farm boy vibe and I think I nailed the look I was going for. Work gloves, multiple layers for those cold mornings, and of course~ plaid. Man I love plaid. #phainon #hsr
