I know I've been under a rock while being abroad but Xiao Zhan released new music? How did I miss this?!

Isn't that one of the most aesthetically pleasing (and lorge!) acorns you've ever seen? Brought it back from Bispingen.

I'm at the hearing aid place with my mother to potentially get a pair of them fitted for her and she's already been told off for not taking the right care of her inner ear. She's actually cleaning it *too often*. Guess who's been telling her that all along 🙄

Okay, pictures! Let me divide this up into parts. Let's start with landscape! This is the protected heather in Lower Saxony, Germany. When in full bloom it's a great shade of purple. We were a bit late, but even in rusty brown it looks so breathtaking.

Returned from vacation yesterday and the first thing that hit me is how little I feel at home in this house. I am home, but I wanna go *home* (But also: who wants to see pictures???)

Just left the theatre, and I can confidently say I really liked it! I've seen some criticism about the movie, and while I do agree with some aspects, 1) no film's ever going to be without criticism 2) I had an excellent time.

We could all make 10/10 perfect choices, A+, gold star, and life will still kick you in the gut. There is no perfect sufferer, and there is nothing righteous in allowing suffering as some kind of morality play.

So it looks like my mum got rid of a box with some of my stuff quite a few years ago. I gave the OK for that, so she's not to blame. I was living abroad at the time and she tried her best to describe to me what was in it. Turns out some of my favourite games were in there. For my Nintendo DS. +

I feel like crying. I hate this. I have a suspicion why this is happening (mood swings because my thyroid meds need adjusting), and I am going to call my gp about it tomorrow, but come on. Can this please stop? The sun is shining, I'm feeling good physically, and yet all I wanna do is sob.

I can't sleep so I counted my metal bookmarks out of boredom and I have. 46. Well, one is a double, so truly there are only 45. I feel like some are missing still. Some came in sets of multiples, and I actually use them! I like to match them to the books I'm reading.

Przewalski’s horses have been extinct in the wild since the 1960s, and gone from Kazakhastan much longer, kept alive only through zoo and reserve breeding programs. This is an incredible, hopeful milestone for them and us.

My phone fell out of my trouser pocket. Into the toilet bowl. Tried rice. That phone was six years old, so it heated up like crazy and the battery drained itself freakishly fast. At the end of the day, the screen wasn't even clear anymore. I have a new phone now, but it's an expense I didn't need.

I finally have my collection complete. No more fountain pens for me (except for maybe one, bc there's actually one colour missing. The one on the right technically doesn't belong to the rest.) Those are all by Kaweco. The one on the left is a ballpoint pen, the one above is a pencil. 🌙🌈
