Sometimes you feel in your heart that you see another man who was in those situations and it feels awful when he was actually one of the guys on the other fucking side grinning. And none of us men can know how it feels to be others who have to assume ALL the men are on that side, for safety.

I did not know Geller personally but was one degree separate from him, seeming to be a rare "guy who is actually on the level". This is how bold and comfortable a man can be in our society. He can be a beloved YouTuber with his face and full name, knowing what he's done. Disgusted and gutted.

the horrific cornell gang rape case has me thinking about emma sulkowicz who alleged she was raped as a student at columbia in 2014 and never got any justice. it has me thinking about the physical and mental weight young women are forced to carry while their safety is subsumed by male potential.

The main reason you haven’t heard about campus sexual violence in a few years is because Trump and SCOTUS have made it much, much harder for survivors to come forward. You might vaguely remember that Title IX was a big battleground in his first term. And that we lost.
