This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving, or as we call it in Canada, Thanksgiving. This year has been hard on us. Personally for many of us. Politically for almost all of us. But there are many things for Canadians. to be thankful for. Universal healthcare. A sane PM. Diversity. Stability.
![Post from Threads after the gold medal game where Team Canada lost to Team USA in overtime, and then the White House posted a classless and toxic image about the loss, and the American players partied with Trump’s corrupt FBI Director -– “Canada, you may not have a gold medal in hockey [actually we have a lot of them, but we know what you mean…] but what you do have is…
manners
respect
allies
a civilized country
Mark Carney
and friends in Finland.
Proud to be on the podium together with you.”](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:ny5w2k6brb2kdubxnevke6li/bafkreidg4dmnvaavkhvlellgov7kshtnptqcrpu2ufllk3cdnhknhh65hi)
