A sentient swamp is here to enchant you with its singing wildlife, awe-inspiring nature science, breathtaking decay, and hopefully glaringly obvious absurdism. All work is original material by the creator unless stated otherwise. linktr.ee/SwampVids

Yes, hi, palmetto. Yes, you’re there, ok. Hi. #nativeplants
The long spiked leaves of a palmetto fanned out seemingly to wave “hi” and blocking the scenery.

The swamp is a seasonal swamp in New England, which is quite different from the Hollywood-style swamps of the south. In case you’re just tuning in and don’t realize what you’ve signed up for, here’s roughly what you can expect from the swamp annually. #nature ⬇️
The swamp in winter. Deciduous trees, winterberry, and eastern hemlock are covered in snow. A fallen tree rests in the center, partially buried by snow. The swamp in spring. The same scene as before. The snow has melted. The floor of the swamp is a thick layer of swamp muck covered in a layer of fallen leaves and leafed out skunk cabbage as far as the eye can see.The swamp in summer. Same scene. The deciduous trees are fully green and leafed out and the floor of the swamp is filled in every corner with lush ferns, skunk cabbage, jewelweed, and all the plants. The swamp in autumn. The green is fading, the mucky floor of the swamp is cleared of plants and is visible again, and trees are turning a rainbow a yellows, oranges, and red. The swamp muck is decorated with freshly fallen leaves with hues of red and purple.

Well, of course! They need some place to store their pantry! Otherwise they would surely starve to death in the winter when they're mostly asleep in their lairs 10 feet underground.

Birds have all packed up and have been leaving in droves, leaving the swamp alone in its thoughts. … Is it almost time to die?! #nature #fall
The swamp has lost its jungle aesthetic and is beginning to lose its lushness with greens fading to yellow. The ground is also visible, though there are still some ferns remaining, most of which are still green.
