Just spent several hours being adult supervision at a teen theater night. They had a great time, nobody was excluded, and not a single kid took a phone out the entire time. They were encouraging each other and did large group karaoke specifically so the introverts could get on stage comfortably.

Got the first of our @romancingthevote.com auction items in the mail today and teen GASPED in delight at the extra tiny turtle happy. We still have a couple of hand-painted items to come but those are still being made. I love this for us and for democracy.

My 16yo and I share all our library accounts(3) and I am known for almost maxing out our holds for every account. Every time a hold comes available I get a text from kid that’s just a picture of a rabbit. We call it the Bad News Bunny because I always panic - I’m already reading 3 books! Oh no!

I’m having big conflicted feeling about the entire college degree debate today. The argument that if you can’t afford it, you shouldn’t take out huge loans to go. You don’t need a degree to get a good job. But reality is more nuanced. And I’m not even addressing the nightmare of costs right now.
