I would expect a court to conclude that an unconscious person lacks the minimum mental competence necessary to allow the State to execute them. The convicted person should be able to understand why they are being executed

The government moving or hiding jailed people to avoid review by courts isn't some loophole in our habeas corpus rights. This government behavior has been considered a violation of the people's habeas corpus rights since at least the Habeas Corpus Act of 1679. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Habeas_...
Jailors were forbidden to move prisoners from one prison to another or out of the country to evade the writ. In case of disobedience jailers would be punished with severe fines which had to be paid to the prisoner.[5][6]

For a section about Greek and Roman culture, my seventh grade history teacher taught us the difference between Doric and Corinthian columns. He pointed out that the columns on the White House are Doric because that style expresses humility and restraint.

If you have a pet that sometimes snags your clothes, or if you're clumsy like me, I've found Dritz Snag Nab It to be very useful. It's a needle with rough grooves on the tail end. Push the needle through the cloth and it'll pull the snag to the fabric's underside, where it will be hidden.
A green plaid flannel shirt with two snags on the face side of the fabric. There's a Snag Nab It needle next to the snag. The same flannel shirt, but the snags have disappeared. A photo of the underside of the cloth. The snag is now on the underside.

Day 1, bulldoze the supreme court building

Susan L @susanintiburon.bsky.social · 31/08/2026
In 29 we evict the Supreme Court (all 13 of them) from their marble and velvet stronghold. We bulldoze half of it overnight and spend four years building gigantic new courtrooms, all wired for video and public access. The court can all work out of cubicles in Bethesda or whatevs until we’re done.

In 2029, we appoint at least four new justices to the Supreme Court, then we move the whole damn court to a bunch of cubicles in Arlington Virginia while we knock down half of their sacred building and replace it

In the 1600s, some 21,000 runaway slaves in Brazil founded an independent kingdom in the interior that lasted nearly a century (1612-1694) It had a capital of 5,000, its own king, provincial chiefs, judges, priests, and an army that raided Dutch and Portuguese plantations

I miss this little girl, Emmy — she was born in a puppy mill and she delivered two litters of pups before she was rescued at 18 months old. She loved attention and sunshine.
Close-up portrait of a cute chihuahua-papillon mix dog. Her chin rests on the pillow next to her front paws, and she looks up at us with brown button eyes, fully engaged. She’s shorthaired and mostly white, with black and tan freckles over her muzzle, a half-dollar sized round black spot on her forehead, and fluffy ears — one black, one white.
