The things that take break my suspension of disbelief are wild. All the ridiculous plot points in Xena? Sure. Xena being thrown into a pit and having rats unleashed on her to I assume try and eat her? No. Rats would never do that.

I have no idea what to watch anymore. So I’m just rewatching taskmaster. Season 7 is my favourite. I haven’t reached season 19 yet, but the chaotic energy of Jason Mantzoukas and Stevie Martin team tasks is top tier Taskmaster.

It’s fascinating to watch the discourse of people coming out and saying well if Nathan Cleary had a broken foot, then why did staff let him play? As if the best player on the team playing a final injured was unheard of. Players playing injured is seen as heroic and expected.

One thing I’ve learnt from this reading of Catching Fire. Being an adult being stuck in the arena with Katniss and Peeta would be the worst. Having to put up with 2 love struck teenagers? The worst. Trying to start an uprising and there are these teenagers with their epic love story drama

I fell into a Wikipedia rabbit hole yesterday and ended up on the Hunger Games page. It mentioned some opinions were that Katniss was passive and had no desires Which is such a weird reading of the books coz there is a very clear motive and desire. The safety of her family and to survive.

I didn’t plan on finishing Mockingjay today, but sometimes it’s hard to stop. The ending is very good. I have read it before but it was a long time ago and there was a lot i didn’t remember. The scenes going through the capitol are incredibly tense and Katniss fails the mission.

I finally watched the Xena musical episode. As expected Amy not a fan. It’s a lot more musical than other tv musical episodes. There is the big chorus number, which amazing. I’m not a big fan of the dubbing for Gabriel. It didn’t sound right for her. The singing was good, just didn’t match

On my drive to work like a lot of characters die, like 4 or 5 characters die around the same time. It is very quick with little time to be able to mourn them because that’s the nature of their mission. War is war. It doesn’t shy away from it.

The F Ward is a new medical show set in Sydney. So now is the game of trying to work out where about this fictional hospital is meant to be. I think it might be e fake Northern Beaches Hospital but I’m not sure, it’s in the area. So far they have spoken about a real hospital and a fake hospital

I have many mixed feelings about the Commonwealth Games. On one hand, enjoying some sports. But there’s like no team sports this year. No hockey? Outrageous. Then there is the stark reminder of colonisation. Especially with the smaller island nations. There’s just so many of them.

I read a thing about the total medals won at the comm games. Australia has dominated with a total of 1001 gold. England is second with 773 gold. So smashing it. The Great Britain team is broken up into their countries for the comm games. If competing as GB, they’d have more gold with 1007

Finished ride or die. Solid ending. Nice set up for future storylines. I assume there will be a just when you think your out you get dragged back in. One of the reveals felt very predictable. But there was a part I didn’t see coming and it was shocking. I liked it I’m in for season 2

I’m currently watching Ride or Die. Another ode to the platonic love between two women. Hannah Waddington and Octavia Spencer are wonderful. Octavia Spencer in particular. Her character is truly lovely. I love her interactions with Billy. I’m not a fan of the CGI aging down though.

Just remembering all the fun I have with dyslexic. I can misspell words wrong in completely different ways within seconds. Sometimes I can pronounce words, sometimes I can’t. Like the same word. And then I overthink it and then it gets worse. It’s real shit in this text based world.
