We're in the midst of testing all the new Googlebook laptops @theverge.com, and would you believe me if I told you the software seems cool but not really finished? In a GOOGLE product? Unheard of, I know! 🎁🔗 www.theverge.com/tech/1005745...

While the M4 Mac Mini started at $599, the new M6 model starts at $899. In spite of that, the Mac Mini remains the best value in the Mac lineup, because just about everything costs more these days. Read our review from @superantonio64.bsky.social:

Google is finally launching Googlebooks — its new line of Android-based laptops. @superantonio64.bsky.social spent a bit of time prodding all the new hardware, and while all the Android integration tricks seem cool, many open questions remain.

this bit got me every time I scanned past it 🤣
An excerpt from an interview with Anamanaguchi. The question asks which is your most underappreciated tool? The answer from Peter Berkman is, 'Right now it’s the LOGITECH MX MASTER 3S. Best mouse I’ve ever had. It has a sideways scroll. It has a button to switch between notched and smooth scroll wheel. The click is satisfying but still really quiet. It’s really sensitive & responsive on whatever surface I happen to have it on. It feels really good in my hand. It charges directly into a USB-C port without external batteries so it gets to look like a mouse with a tail after it’s worked really hard. When I’m at a different computer, or if I’m on a laptop having to use a trackpad, I feel like I’ve lost so much gestural fidelity. I love the keyboard but let’s be real Douglas Engelbart cooked when he invented the mouse. But he didn’t have the recipe of the LOGITECH MX MASTER 3S and he didn’t even live to see it. The LOGITECH MX MASTER 3S wasn’t even invented until June 2022. I have seen two friends recently using the LOGITECH MX MASTER 3S and I say “Hey man that’s the LOGITECH MX MASTER 3S” I use that thing too.'

HP’s 16-inch OmniBook 3 is a basic productivity laptop that regularly goes for around $520. Pre-RAMageddon, it would be nothing to write home about. But 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD in an okay laptop for around $500? That counts as good news in 2026. Read more from @superantonio64.bsky.social:
