I've met some incredible strangler figs over the years, but this was my favourite. #rainforest #figs #nature

A majestic strangler fig, its host long decayed to leave a hollow core, dominates the foreground of the photo and rises to the forest canopy. Its huge limbs are covered in moss and tree ferns.

Crepe myrtles around my place have been flowering for weeks and are still looking beautiful. This one was popular with bees.

Beautiful two-tone pink bracts surround the small yellow flowers of the crepe myrtle. Bees and other pollinators are common on these flowers.

Dawn to late afternoon: One perfect cloudy day on the Ormiston Pound walk in Central Australia.

The dawn sky is mauve with silhouetted trees and broken grey clouds

The clouds glow a deep orange from the first rays of the dawn sun.

The deep blue noon sky is contrasted with small white fluffy clouds and the faded earth colours of the arid landscape

Early afternoon clouds start to come together after a day of floating apart to cast weak shade on the red rocks and ochre land of this incredible pound.

This gorgeous Eucalyptus caesia was a sight to behold in full flower. Its resplendent pink flowers with prominent yellow anthers on the tip of the stamens covered the weeping branches that were thick with grey green sickle-shaped leaves.

Gum leaves didn't stand a chance against these four-spotted gum moth and sawfly larvae. I've never seen so many of them in one spot. Fabulous creatures, but not one to touch! #moths #insects #bugsky #eucalyptus

Several colourful and spikey four-spotted gum moth caterpillars and sawfly larvae have skeletonised a gum leaf. Both can cause pain if touched.
