Fabulous, thank you for the info. My first guess was a small dusty wave so i'm pleased, a moth'er friend told me (mistakenly) it was a pug, so that tells me I'm recognising the ones I'm used to seeing at least.

Oooh. Thank you. The dusty waves seem like my balcony. So is a wave moth a type of pug or.....? my knowledge is minimal.

A brace of moths taking refuge on my balcony. A tortrix of some kind & a pug of some kind. I know not what #TeamMoth

Little moth disguised as a bit of rotten leaf. A tortrix of some kind I believe.

A grey moth i thought might be a wave of some kind but suggestions say a pug.

Hee hee. Brilliant to watch. I do know someone who does this for fun but you'd never guess to chat to him that he's nutcase in the sky.

I wanted to show you this tiny weeny golden ladybird 💛 my eyes have been opened to their world through @vc40ladybirds.bsky.social

I thought it was a dot of dirt but it was a tiny creature. I held a match to it for scale, which scared it a little I think. Tiny weeny golden spotted ladybird.

Close up of some kind of micro lady 🐞 bird on a wall. Can I get a witness. (ID)

They seem interested in each other. I wonder if dogs can smell butterfly pheromones.

I am expecting the pitter patter of tiny caterpillar feet any day now. Saw a pretty little holly blue (i think) laying eggs. I like her tentacles, they appear to shine, iridescent rainbow colours as they catch the sun.

It is precisely when life feels most tragic and the world seems most broken that a defense of joy is most necessary, most rehumanizing. Let the great Uruguayan poet Mario Benedetti make it for us all: www.themarginalian.org/2025/07/04/m...
