This screenshot from Mike Tomlin’s first episode of his Minecraft city walkthrough is killing me. This video has been such a treat. I never in a million years would have thought I’d be in this situation.

GC Green. The bass is a weapon, a giant hulking weapon.

Such a rotten feeling when you see someone with an excellent bumper sticker for a niche band that a ton of people have never heard of, you tell them it’s awesome and they turn out to be a complete asshole to the folks working at the place. Mannnnnnn…

I worked in one from 99-2001. I have encyclopedic knowledge of every movie that came out then. It is weirdly comprehensive and I know a lot about a lot of little things. This was for a local mom and pop style mini-chain.

Sexy Beast was a hellacious, wonderful movie and Kingsley is at his absolute best in it.

Today's music is from one of my all time favorites, Godflesh. A buddy of mine, when I was young, gave me the tape that he discovered during summer and I loved how cold and unfeeling, yet still raw, the whole thing felt. Incredible album from a band that means a lot to me. youtu.be/u5N9EYRkJoI?...

Today's music - Biohazard's State of the World Address is still a five star album and Tales From the Hard Side is so good. I remember when this album dropped and my whole friend group just absolutely loved it. Urban Discipline was a favorite but this is like the final form youtu.be/0nfoMPldPU4?...

I'll try to post more music. This past year or two, MVTANT has been one of my favorite emerging (but not really emerging, I was just slow to find them) artists. Love their work and strongly recommend this track for people who want to glare at others. mvtant.bandcamp.com/track/pretty...

Can’t believe Johnny Depp is playing Ebenezer Goode. Still, it’ll be interesting to see the character’s origin story, and find out how he got so naughty.

ngl I don't like the attention that a raccoon in Ballard is getting because I don't trust people to not treat them abnormally because of it, if not outright seek to harm them. This is a wild animal that deserves to be left alone treated with the same respect as any other.

This popped up in my memories today and really hurts my heart.

Life is short, though I keep this from my children.
Life is short, and I've shortened mine
in a thousand delicious, ill-advised ways, a thousand deliciously ill-advised ways I'll keep from my children. The world is at least fifty percent terrible, and that's a conservative estimate, though I keep this from my children. For every bird there is a stone thrown at a bird. For every loved child, a child broken, bagged, sunk in a lake. Life is short and the world is at least half terrible, and for every kind stranger, there is one who would break you, though I keep this from my children. I am trying to sell them the world. Any decent realtor, walking you through a real shithole, chirps on about good bones: This place could be beautiful, right? You could make this place beautiful.

This is another perfect album, but listening to it from start to finish is critical for me. Can't just chop out your favorite parts without missing the broader feel for it. Was very surprised to hear it released to a tepid response back in 76. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ab7...

I was fortunate as a kid to be able to play so many Carmen Sandiego games growing up. I honestly still remember so much stupid trivia from a great many locations. What great games.

Box cover to Where in Time Is Carmen Sandiego, showing a lady in a fancy coat and big black hat on a motorcycle, interrupting a mix between the crusaders and three musketeers.
