Whataboutism doesn't help! But still I will point out that using your own creativity and learning skills is literally free. Replacing an ICE vehicle with a fully electric one costs thousands and many many people just don't have that money. These are two entirely different problems.

The tech market is emptied out of critical components making any device that needs decent amounts of memory and storage a lot more expensive. Corporations and shareholders force AI into everything, even where it doesn't make any sense, eventually making the product straight up worse than it was.

Everything in existence is being absorbed into these datasets and the ones operating them don't care about licensing any of it as long as they can get away with it. Unreasonably many data centers are being built in locations that are completely unfit and will damage homes of all living beings.

AI generated content being nothing more than meaningless is only one side of the truth. Sure, the artist is lazy, doesn't put much effort and no meaning into what was generated. The problem is how the tool itself works. Training requires massive amounts of training data.
