I've had slowly creeping wrist strain... Despite exercising and stretching and taking care of myself I really can't draw more than 6 hours a day anymore. Even 5 is a lot on some days. Nagging wrist pain. It sucks. I used to not have to worry about it, I can't do as much in a day anymore...

after using this new samsung tab for a couple of weeks, I'm fairly pleased with it as a mobile drawing device. it's not perfect, but I was really happy to find that I can plug it into my big ol' Dell tablet and it uses the tablet exactly how it should, with pen and touch working perfectly.

My "imaginal space" is basically the opposite of aphantasia. When I read someone's request for a drawing from me, I'll be seeing a stream of images flash behind my eyes as I do. It is instant and unconscious, and goes on during much of the course of drawing. I'm curious if it's like this for others.

sometimes you try to work on a picture and brain goes "oog" instead. I may have drawn this pose before and have references on hand etc, but brain has decided to forget how to draw this particular thing today. Or maybe it forgot how to draw in general at the moment. it has a huge impact on things.

I never got much formal training in drawing after a few basic classes in middle school. I didn't really have mentors to show me the way and I think I'd be much better if I had. I also was very depressed and in a fog during a lot of the prime time for learning (late high school + college age).
