CWA Statement in Response to Further Layoffs at XBOX
September 22, 2026

The Communications Workers of America (CWA) released the following statement in response to the layoffs of 268 video game workers across XBOX today:

Today, 268 dedicated video game workers lost their livelihoods as XBOX continues to put profits ahead of the workers who are the heart and soul of the platform's games. CWA does not expect today's layoffs to impact union-represented workers.

Earlier this month, CWA members at Blizzard Entertainment secured layoff protections and recall rights in a breakthrough union contract that has the power to set new standards for the industry. Every video game worker deserves the dignity of layoff protections and a voice in shaping their studios for the better.

To those workers left at studios impacted today, and to workers across the industry, our message is simple: join us. Together we have a stronger voice in shaping our industry into what it ought to be.

So no acrylic stuff at all?? It's a shame, that stuff was far more cute and interesting!

Is this the guy? Looking at the Zyllion Australia site on Wayback Machine (since it's locked right now), their dog earrings definitely look like GenAI, which is a shame because their cut acrylic stuff is very cute! I guess they couldn't resist 🥴

If you are ever near Parliament and Carlton in #Toronto, I heartily recommend eating at "House on Parliament", their spicy tourtiere is out of this world 🤤 The best part was the buttery crust omgggg

There are some typos in your alt text, I have fixed them:

The Kaiser, surrounded by twenty members of the diplomatic corps, stood before me. Not a word was said to break the silence. The distinguished spectators stared intently and curiously. The Kaiser gazed sternly, disdainfully, and disapprovingly at the operation. Suddenly, a long, slimy, gnarled arm, in writhing contor-tions, was waving in the air as if to strike us. With exclamations of horror, the spectators drew back. Even the Kaiser moved back a step.
The members of the company exchanged glances, and looked expectantly at the erect domineering central figure for expressions of sympathy, inquiry, and re-proach, for the seeming sufferings and the cruel tortures of the helplessly bound creature in front of them.
Betore the powerful arms could be pin-ioned in place, the whole body swerved and broke loose from the holders of the operating-table. At the same time, the arms began to swing and lash in twisting coils in all possible directions, accompanied by eruptions of inky jets that com-pletety enveloped for a moment the desperate creature in a black misty cloud.

So right after what I quoted from Wood, you wrote:

Hightlighted text: "I would argue something more fundamental. Rather than fighting about so-called viewpoint diversity in higher education, and swapping different ideologies back and forth to match our political beliefs, we need to ask whether the university should have this role at all."

130

Sunhawk @sunhawk.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

So you paraphrased Wood here as with his unquestioned version of reality:

Highlighted text read: "Wood argues that colleges are not only staffed with a disproportionate number of radicals who indoctrinate the students but also have turned everything from dormitory management to the dining halls over to the left. In this view, even students who might disagree with their radical professors will eventually succumb to progressive politics because it is embedded in every part of campus life. Wood and others—such as John McWhorter, who, in his book “Woke Racism,” contends that “wokeness” has become a religion on college campuses—understand that the contemporary university functions in some respects as a church, and they believe that it has taken up a dangerous and wrongheaded set of doctrines."

Ever since I saw the Jody Lee cover art for Mercedes Lackey's "The White Gryphon" book in my teenage years, I always wanted to make my own feathered robe and now I am finally bringing that dream to life 😍🪶✨ I will be debuting these draped robes for sale at #AnimeNorth 🌈✨ #art #birds #feathered

She addressed the idea that she made a hypothesis in her article (spoiler alert: she did not make a hypothesis!)

Highlighted text from the article: The stochastic parrots hypothesis has been disproved
Stochastic parrots also does not refer to an empirical hypothesis. Accordingly, it doesn’t make sense to say it’s been “disproved” or that it is “unfalsifiable”.

It is very amusing to me the lengths that Rachel Reid has gone to in order to obscure the fact that her book was a Stucky fic and "Kip" is a renamed Bucky Barnes as played by Sebastian Stan 😂

The book dedication for Game Changer: this book is for everyone who encouraged me to try to publish this story, and especially to Matt, who supports me wholeheartedly in all things. And also to the random Gap model who was my physical reference for Kip.
