Kiyoi would primarly drives bikes. Not just for getting around, also to drive for fun in summer. Can drive cars, but doesn't own one herself. Would probably get a private pilot license for hobby aircrafts for fun at some point too.

Finished HW on Yunash at 4 in the morning. Dragonsong my beloved. If only the Thordan trial wasn’t so awful lol after the rather intimidating scene where he smites Lahabrea, there's just nothing going on in the actual trial. Worst expac final trial but at least a huge outlier in that regard

I just remembered an even older concept back when I first made Khiran and thought she was gonna be the sole WoL. Kiyoi was supposed to be a shard of her from the recently rejoined shard. Ultimately failed bc Kiyoi wasn’t gonna give up her existence that easily, so she came back as a Source-OC

Multiple iterations of ARR (but all expacs/side stories tbh): i tried out a bunch of different starts for kiyoi as the wol, duo-wol, etc Garlean Kiyoi, Adventurer Kiyoi, with or without Khiran, ARR is my biggest remix board project bc it influences everything later down the line

WoLNero: my first playthrough ship attempt, but over time (also bc of the irl breakup) the dynamic didn’t work out for Kiyoi especially as a romantic relationship, so I broke them up again lol it doesn’t happen at all, it's not a failed relationship

Duo-wols: ultimately scrapped bc it was too convoluted and too much effort to work out the details of it, so Khiran went back to a regular character Shelved side characters: mainly made for funsies, but didn’t find a fixed place in the constant story remixing, so they went back into the WIP-files

Mermaid/Sailor AU because this is a leftover from Mermay. My WoL, Elodie Aurifort, as a mermaid, with Gaius Baelsar as a sailor.

Elodie is lying on the ground underneath Gaius, her finger underneath his chin as her fish tail bumps him in a teasing fashion. He scowls knowing she's attempting to reel him in and he is determined to not fall for it.

Background is in the style of an Ivan Yakovlevich Bilibin illustration. A school of fish decorating the outside of the borders.

Continuing things from the pervious image, Elodie lifting her upper body, now has her arms wrapped around Gaius' neck, implications that she whispering something in his ear. His face somewhat flushed, you can see one arm supporting his upper body for balance while the other holds one of the arms wrapping around his neck; his gaze looking down and past her. Elodie's mermaid tail begins to whip itself around to the foreground.

More fish have joined the border of the edges.

The finale, those whispers have converted to implied neck kisses. Gaius' face is completely flushed, he closes his eyes and accepts his fate of falling for this siren's lure. (Some fisherman, am I right?) The hand he used to support his body is now wrapped around Elodie's torso. Her mermaid tail has fulling whipped itself around them. She has successfully reeled in her catch.

Even more fish have joined the border of the edges, a plethora even!

Unless it's completely broken or turned into scrap metal, Kiyoi can perform routine maintenance and repairs on her gunblade herself. Otherwise she'd need someone else to reforge a weapon for her. Something like the whole blade breaking off. Luckily it's built quite sturdy for WoL-levels of use.

Crashed her mech somewhere over Paglth'an, got captured but with no Blessing of Light and no Echo to protect her. In Bozja she would've fought the Resistance until she vanished in the chaos of the battlefield and the IVth falling apart with no backup from Garlemald. Where to? Who knows.

Still a pilot in a Garlean Legion. Maybe not the XIVth, maybe the IVth in Bozja instead. Without the Echo she wouldn’t have suffered as much from flashbacks after the Bozja Incident and sought to leave. But if she had gone to Eorzea, she'd likely have ended up tempered after a scouting mission

Kiyoi wasn’t, and in my WoLverse there's no particular "1.0 WoL" either. 1.0 just happened as it is, Dalamud, the Calamity, Eorzeans vs Garleans. Kiyoi came into the picture shortly after but didn't experience anything from 1.0 firsthand
