Hey team just a reminder that last year we all promised to get our flu shots in Mickey’s honor. It’s about that time. CVS has “coupons” for the uninsured. Go get a flu shot! #bb28

Once I found out about it, I contacted the reporter and asked him to retract the piece--or at minimum add an editor's note acknowledging the NYT reporting about how Jane Doe did NOT tell police that she consented to her rape. Thus far, the publication has refused to do so.

I’ll also add that most of the heat should be directed at USA Today, but the journalists who participated in this breach of ethics also made a choice. Organizations are made up of people. We can’t absolve the people who do harm on the behalf of an organization.

While digging around their website, I found their ethics policy—including a section on AI-generated content. I suspect that’s a part of what happened here. And I’m upset about that too! I did NOT speak to a journalist with the assumption that my interview would be funneled into producing AI slop.

As an update for anyone who isn’t digging through the comments: I found more articles by USA Today journalists I’ve never met. There are THREE that used quotes from my interview recording—including many quotes that were never publicly published anywhere else.

Campaign-style Trump ads use money meant for border security, memorials
The White House Office of Management and Budget added $20 million to the pot for commemorative events a day before DHS awarded an advertising contract of the same amount.

This is cartoonishly evil, like something out of a silent film involving widows tied to railroad tracks by a Rudolph Rassendale knock-off.

Will be amazed if they take out Richard E. Grant at the first roundtable despite the overwhelming evidence. He's quite charming and - almost as important in this setting - too famous. The other players will twist themselves in knots to avoid banishing him. #CelebrityTraitors #CelebrityTraitorsS2

2. I'm in the first few seconds of the mission, and pretty certain Hannah Fry is a goner, thanks to Jerry. The former is perceived too smart for the game, and the latter to chaotic to let go of so soon. #CelebrityTraitors #CelebrityTraitorsS2

Why can't the actors say who they represent? Or have them wearing something that represents them uniquely and matches the given clue. Something to give the teams solvable information. #TAR39

Ugh, this challenge is pmo so bad. It requires the teams to rely so much on external information or prior knowledge, unlike the jamón challenge (and the jamón challenge host can give feedback). Thats bad game design. #TAR39

On what would have been his 102nd birthday, I’m thinking of President Jimmy Carter. As a patriot, a humanitarian, and a leader who centered human rights, he embodied what it means to make your faith come alive through public service. His legacy will long outlive us all.

I spoke to @usatoday.com about data on sexual violence at Cornell. Victimization rates are increasing and reporting rates are falling. “Together… those two trendlines tell me that all students, including victims and perpetrators, believe that there is impunity for sexual assault at Cornell.”

Cornell rarely expels students in sex assault cases | Exclusive
A third of undergraduate women say they've been sexually assaulted. But on average, Cornell reported expelling just one attacker per year.

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward
