I will say there was a year where there a was questionable featured speaker at the evening part and his talk was very... white male focused and off-putting. I do think you're 100% in your right to ask for a commitment to safety. I do the same through backchannels!

asked my friend who's visiting Seoul to check Myeongdong for this bag I got YEARS ago that fell apart - didn't have any front-facing photos of it, but chatgpt to the rescue!! (it's not exactly the bag, but it's close enough!)
