A thing younger people tend to underestimate is how much the culture around institutional sexism and racism has changed in the last few decades. I’m not saying we’ve tipped the balance of power or anything, but the vicious old white guy backlash is a reaction to real progress.

This is your biannual #food reminder that hummus is not Greek. It's a Levantine dish. There is no Greek hummus. That's like saying there is Bulgarian or French feta. There is not. Only Greek feta is true feta, it's a PDO (protected designation of origin). Everything else is a white cheese.

If you want more proof that AI makes things objectively worse, look to customer support. AI chatbots are completely ineffective, you just cannot speak to a person on the phone anymore, most sites don't even have a simple email form (a CS staple). I hate this.
