What if I did fanart for my friend to cope with the despair what then? (WiP) #myart

The automatic pet owner thoughts are fading “i should trim her claws/brush her fur/refill her water” etc. they were extremely painful but it’s leaving me feeling purposeless

I cannot believe it now but before I got Jade I didn't want any cat because I was a proud bird mom and my mother bringing cats into the house resulted in my bird nearly getting eaten and her giving him away. We were shopping to get my mother another cat when I met Jade, I loved her so immediately

When I first moved overseas I had to wait a month before the couriers would deliver her. My landlady who joyously looked after her because she loved her cried when the couriers picked her up

Planting her chin like a lil goblin. It was so sweet how much she valued physical contact

I’m getting “I love you for all of my life” on her urn. I consider it a message to her from everyone who shares the sentiment

People I used to live with threw a party with loud music and strobe lights and she found it delightful and went to day hello to all the guests (there was at least a dozen ppl in attendance, probably more) A couple of ppl said they wanted to take her home with them cuz of how cute and sweet she was

For six months I was stuck in another country and my husband had to look after Jade by himself. The two bonded so deeply he said it felt like he’d had her for years

I wish I could live in my memories of her forever

I had a friend who liked to whistle to fill the silence in calls and Jade was always convinced it could only be birds and would search for them

One of my proudest moments as a cat mom was when I taught her to tell the difference between headphones (not toy) and string/thread (toy) using her love of physical affection as positive reinforcement. She was so clever and so clumsy at the same time

I once pretended to do her makeup. She was always so incredibly unbothered even when she was young like this. Just so chill.

Sleep deprived, I once fell asleep in a call with a friend with my mic next to my head. My friend listened to her scream-meow directly into the mic for twenty minutes. He talked back to her and she made his bad day better listening to her, told me she had strong opinions when I finally woke up

After making the decision to let her go I feel such immense choice fatigue I feel like I just never want to make a decision again

I’m at my husband’s office because he’s worried about me and wants me to not be alone I dread going back home and not hearing her greeting meows and trills from her window bed, oh my little one

All she wanted to do is snuggle 24/7 I have so many videos of her being like this

170

Ru (spirit of Curiosity✨) @sugarandstories.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Every evening she wanted to have “couch time” with my husband, she’d snuggle up to him while he worked on his laptop. In the work group chat she was dubbed the littlest engineer on the team. These photos are from different nights (We had a blanket made for her to sleep on that we dubbed the Jankey)

Please forgive me if my wall just becomes about her for awhile. My heart wails for her like a lost ship adrift begging to see a lighthouse, and she’s all I want to talk and think about I love her so much and it has to go somewhere. I have so much to tell you all about her

My cat Jade had to be put to sleep two days ago. She came into my life as a kitten when I was sixteen and she was sixteen when she passed. I’m so lost in the dark without my little flashlight. I don’t know how to be without her.
