I have found a pecan in one of my pots almost daily this month. How do I find them? By seeing a slightly uprooted plant or a bit of broken leaves. Well, shoot. Seems Lacewings are haute cuisine around here. My husband bought me this Venus flytrap earlier this year, and it demands distilled water, bottom soaking, and beneficial insects. I thought I would have killed it by now, yet it lives and it eats. 🌱 #garden #plantsky #gardenfeed #plants

A bright green Venus flytrap leaf (?) has caught a lacewing. The wings are all you can see - they're slightly elongated and transparent with a thin light green edge. The trap looks like a solid green human eye with green eyelashes on the upper lid. A dried dead trap can be seen under the green trap.

🎢 🌡️ It's getting to be that time of year! Houston will see a 2-day cold dip with lows in the 40Fs before warming back up to 80F+. I bought a new table cloth for the grow light set up in my garage just in time! Most of my succulents will be fine outdoors but the seedlings need the warmth. 🌱 #plants
